Possible Issue with Wild Card: Side Bets

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 11:22 am

So after obtaining the onslaught of missions known as "Wild Card", I've worked through my work each and every one of them besides the one that involves the main quest. It involves me with the Brotherhood of Steel. I have completed what I believe to be their "tribal" mission, "Still in the Dark", as well as becoming a member of the Brotherhood in the following quest afterwards. However, there is no notice for me to go to Yes Man and tell him what I did with the BoS instead of simply ignoring.

It may have of been because "Still in the Dark" ended somewhat prematurely, due to me not completing all of the first Elder's tasks before ousting him out. I've tried earning reputation as well, found an unmarked mission and possibly screwed up another chance, but I don't think that's the issue.

Any suggestions? I somewhat don't want to go back 6 - 8 hours of gameplay fixing this..

I am experiencing exactly the same issue. Anyone else get this? I ousted McNamara and thought it may have had something to do with that...but according to http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20101025234637AAmiUIz

"If you go through all the sub quests, only the boomers end up supporting you. The Ommertas become 'not a threat', the Kahns agree to leave the mojave, the BOS' only option seems to be to ignore them, even after you do all their related quests, and you just learn something attrocious about the White Glove Society. I won't tell you what it is. "

I wanted these guys to support me ....! Anyone else had this issue of ONLY having the option to ignore the Brother Hood of Steel?

I don't think this is a bug.

I believe the only way to get the Brotherhood to support you is if you convince them to support the NCR during the "For the Republic" quest, then you can report to Yes Man instead of the NCR. If you don't do that the only option you ever get is to ignore them or destroy them.

Interesting choice in quest design then. How are players meant to know they have to continue this NCR story line in order to get this quest correctly checked off?

The NCR part has nothing to do with getting the quest checked off, that's only if you want the Brotherhood to support the NCR during the final battle. I agree that it is kinda weird quest design that you can't gain their support any other way.
