With cooking being in Skyrim, should the player be required to eat food on occasion? Possible implementation could be a decrease and/or increase in player stamina depending on whether the player is hungry or well fed. This, I believe, would increase the importance of hunting and cooking in gameplay.

Interested in hearing your thoughts....

This is in Fallout New Vegas if you play on hardcoe difficulty, I imagine they could do something similar here for a hardcoe difficulty if they choose to make one.

I like your title - but forced eating should stay a modded-in feature for now. Good mods for this were available for TES 3 and 4 but weren't really used by much of the player base which tells me its kind of a niche feature.

I would like this. I use this kind of mods for Morrowind and Oblivion. But not everyone likes it, so it should be optional (not in hardcoe way, I want to need to eat, not enemies having 3x more health and hitting strength).

I'll be expecting a hardcoe mode, as they did it in new vegas. Hunger, tiredness etc. If not, its something that can easily be modded :] And yes, I think thats a good idea but as I said, I'm expecting a hardcoe mode because some people wont like it.

A modded-in feature is a feature not implemented in game. mods often have incompabilities. I don't think I deserve to have less options to pick mods than people that want other features. It should be in, but it should be optional.

This is something I would like to see in a hardcoe Mode. This would an interesting feature to try, but I don't think it should be forced as it would make the game unnecessarily difficult (we aren't playing The Sims). Having said that, I could see myself having a great time living off the land with a character that sets up in the wilderness.

Ah, what the heck, why not? It would give me something to do with the food, other than to make potions all the time (which I generally just turn around and sell...). It kind of gives the food more of a purpose...

I Agree with Commander Z, That Rhymes, Also I would like something similar to hardcoe mods but I Doubt we will get it seeing as Bethesda only published New vegas and Obsidian made it

I personally think it would be interesting if it didn't force the player to eat food, but also rewarded additional stamina for those who are well fed. Otherwise, I feel as if cooking becomes unnecessary...even if the food replenished health (potions are most likely going to be the more viable option).

While I appreciate the hardcoe mode idea, I don't like that if I want a hunger option I have to fight substantially harder enemies.

No, I don't think it'd be worthwhile to bother adding it to the base game. There'll be mods for it within a week of release, so those that want this feature can get it there. In all honesty, such is NOT a trademark feature of TES titles, so it really wouldn't make sense to make it part of the base game. As far as "incompatability" goes, generally mods for entirely new, non-tangible (i.e, don't add any items, areas, etc.) features like hunger tend to NEVER overlap anything else, and hence are more or less universally compatible.

Yes, I am a console player and I want this feature. I want my character to be more believable by getting hungry and tired. Make it tied to Endurance so the higher the stat, the longer you can go without sleep or food. But, it should be optional.
