Do you think enemy's armour could be damaged beyond savage? Except for those super-duper ultra shiny rares that would still require fixing before wearable.

Same applies for weapons.

I think the word you're looking for is 'salvage'. And yes, there was a mechanic in oblivion and morrowind that lets armor 'break' after being hit enough times. But i think they should change that; I mean, I think its awesome to see an enemy's armor crumble around him as your warhammer consigns him to the afterlife,
but it looks stupid if his armor just suddenly 'breaks' after being hit 20 times in the same spot. An option to fix this would maybe be like only letting armor fully 'break' during a killing move or something, but then people might try to avoid those to save the armor from losing any value. Idk, I'm sure they'll get it right.

I don't think it should break permanently; if I really want it I wouldn't like losing it. If its something really weak though maybe the cost of repairing it vs. what you'd get selling it wouldn't make it worth carrying around if you were just going to sell it.

I don't like the idea of armor and weapons breaking during physical combat, but if there were a spell (or possibly a shout) that would break armor...that would be pretty awesome. Especially since it gives the player the option whether or not to break the armor you may or may not want to salvage.

Beyond salvage? No.

I like the fact that when I kill an enemy, I can strip them naked and walk away with their clothes and their armor. If it's going to be "broken beyond salvage" you might as well take that system away, since you're basically removing item drops off the corpses.

I like the idea. It might better be reserved for unique weapons, or a rare spell effect/enchantment, though.

No the idea of not being able to repair anything/have anything repaired doesn't sit well with me.

No. Besides I don't like the idea of all armors breaking as a unavoidable rule. I find odd to see a leather armor being damaged by a blunt weapon.

As a tactic you should be able to break an enemies shield and instead of disappearing like in previous games, it should look like its broken in half, and you should then be able to use that broken piece of equipment but with a severe quality penalty. And of course you should be able to repair it.
