This has never happened before and for some reason i cant fix it. The problem is is that when i start up morrowind i have about 5-6 inches of black on the sides of my screen then in the middle is the picture of the game. im not sure why all of a sudden its not full screen but it should be . i have full screen selected in the options but the black sides are still there. is this an issue with my cpu or is it the game thanks!

You probably have selected non-wide resolution while you have wide-screen monitor. You can change your resolution to panoramic with Morrowind Graphics Extender, Morrowind Resolution Changer or even by editing registry entries.
