Petition For The Finalizing Clarification Of A Safe And Auth

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 5:56 pm

Hello, You may have stumbled across a few spoiling, malicious or pointless threads recently. The one that pushed me and many of my friends on this forum over the limit, was one that summed the entire plot up in a trick format, by a clear troll...

Now if threads had to be checked, edited and allowed before being submitted the forum would run safely and more smooth.

I have looked through all the forum rules and this is not a breach and if I am going to be banned for this; its ridiculous because im trying to help.

Basically an Anti-Troll petition.

Before it gets locked give it a chance or post it to a Admin.

Petitions aren't allowed. Though I wouldn't be adverse to it as I don't want to see major spoilers.

No; The mods already have their work cut out for them, the quantity of posts in this subforum cannot be managed by such a small group.

So you want that new threads should go through a clarification from mods and if it's safe then posted?
Don't think they can do that.
I think they would have to redesign a part of the forum. /speculation

Yes, I don't post threads very often so I wouldn't mind.

What I would do is if the title of the topic looks fishy don't enter the topic.

Hello...

That's a lot of work you're suggesting - and would prolly require hired staff to be maintained as volunteers are unreliable.

Actually petitions are against the rules.

But seriously, considering how many threads are posted a day, how long it would take to check and clear each one. It'd be a nightmare. Plus who exactly would do it? The Mods? Busy enough keeping things in order.

Not really a viable idea.

Also, the mods spend enough time weeding out individual comments. That would only add to their workload.
Plus, the kid could have just posted it as a reply to any of these "pre-approved" threads you're trying to implement.

It's not like there is this influx of unacceptable threads ruining this board.

Simple - Most threads have this already.
If not something as simple as a keyword searcher.

Petitions aren't allowed.

Indeed, which is why I'm locking it.

The best thing I can recommend is that you all leave the forums :P Really, that's the only way to be 100% certain you won't be exposed of spoilers. If you, however, decide to stay anyway, we will appriciate any helpful forum reports you will make to fight it.
