Companions.

Have they confirmed that there will be companions? bc i want a companion that can go with me in DLC/exp's, if the D/E have a starting point in an abandoned dungeon or something, you should be able to meet the Companion when you get out of the dungeon. I found it very lonely in the Fallout DLC's and dont wanna feel lonely in Skyrim's DLC.

They said you will be able to make friends with NPC's and some will go with you on your adventures. So yes.

To touch on that, an actual companion system hasnt been confirmed. So far, we can only assume that there is a 'follower' system similar to OB (Think Adoring Fan, etc) in which people will tag a long into battles with you. In OB however, these people were hardly interactive like FO3 and better yet FO NV.

I find it hard to believe that there wont be companions, especially seeing the way the were implemented in FO3 and then improved in FO NV. Just my thoughts. I certainly want companions.

Yes, companions are confirmed. They've also said that they're taking a quantity over quality approach to them this time. In other words, there will be more companions available than in Fallout 2 (or was it New Vegas?), but they'll be less developed, as well.

Well thats a load of disappointing news. I mean I dont mind taking "Fighters Guild Red Shirt 01" along to do some dungeon crawlin, but Id kinda been hoping the companions would be BETTER than Fallout 3. Something along the lines of New Vegas at least.
