Alright so I end up raiding Cottonwood Cove, the Legion camp and kick everything's butt there and in the middle of it I wanted to use my handy dandy emergency Ranger radio that I was given for working so hard on the NCR rep. It didn't work and failed me and said my rep wasn't high enough.. so I go check my stats and MY NCR REP IS COMPLETELY AND RANDOMLY GONE! Man that pissed me off.. and as I raid new Legion camps.. I get vilified over and over again .. like I'm losing my "vilified" rep with them as well. This svcks a bunch of sheep anus. So it seems I can't gain rep with NCR at the moment or really lose rep with Legion? WTF? Only mod I have going on is CASM auto saver with NVSE.. that's it. I did not mess with anyone NCR before hand and was very careful not to do so and never seen the status that I lost my NCR rep.

By any strange chance did you have faction armor on when this happened? I noticed a bug with faction gear that messes with your faction like I played though an entire game with ranger combat armor and ranger helmet the entire game....on my second play though and once i took it off my ncr faction dissapeared. First playthough found some dead ncr troops at the town that got ran over by the legion and put on the trooper armor once i took it off i lost my ncr faction as well that I had gained.

Damn.. I too play with the ranger combat armor on at all times.. I've switched it off and on with my space suit to fight radiation, that must be it. I hope Devs are aware of this :\ All my NCR and Legion rep is screwed up.. thanks for the reply.

np go to the fallout new vegas nexus they have none faction ranger combat armors over there as mods

Ok so I loaded up my game and took off my NCR Ranger Patrol Armor and all my Rep came back! Thankfully! NCR was back to good standings and Legion was back to vilified and I think other factions showed up as well. This means I gotta go without my awesome NCR Ranger Patrol Armor man :\ svcks 'cause I was roleplayin' a wannabe ranger Oh well, better than having lost all my rep for good I guess.

yeah any rep gained also while wearing the ncr armor is lost when you take it off=/ just better to get the mod really with a set of it that has no faction associated with it.

I think the idea of the faction armor is to provide you with disguise capabilities. While wearing the disguise I'm not sure you can affect your rep in anyway due to predesignated rep standings for the disguise. If you wear a common armor, your rep should be where you got it in the first place.

It is quite clearly stated that even while wearing faction armour you gain and lose rep just like you would in normal armour, aparently there are a few coding flaws here aswell, hopefully it will be fixed soon.
