Where do you get more robot companions?

I read one thread where a player was talking about "he had a robot army" by that point in the game. So I gather you can have multiple robots as companions, that they do not count towards the 2 companion limit?

Where do you get other robots? I just have E-DE

He must have been using a mod. The only other robot 'companion' is Fisto.

what? rex is counted as a robot and fisto isnt really a companion

Perhaps he was referring to taking control of the Securitons during the Wild Card quests.
