The Bison Steve

A lot of the problem that I have with New Vegas is that there were not more places like the Bison Steve. I thought that the hotel was alright. It wasn't really great by any measure, but it was fun. There were guys in there that tried to kill you no matter what you wore, and there were a couple of floors to explore.

When I first got to Primm I was psyched. It was a pretty good entry and then The Bison Steve felt like a nice little dungeon.

I liked the Bison Steve and really hope there are many more places like it in the New Vegas Wasteland.

Are there?
(no spoilers please, a yes or no will suffice.)

My exploration of the New Vegas map tells me that there aren't many places like the Bison Steve and I'm left wondering what the heck am I supposed to do besides walk back and forth between different factions and talk, or keep collecting loot at these tiny little hideouts (like the broc flower cave.)

The Bison Steve reminded me of the Statesman Hotel in FO3 - only too short and not nearly as fun.

I -hated- doing The Statesman Hotel.

The Bison Steve Hotel is much smaller, though, and could definitely make for a nice HQ later on once I take over the town. As for the guys inside? Pushovers. Except the Incinerator guy. He was a blow-up-and-die type. Gotta love frag mines.

I've never completely cleared the place. I always go there early in the game and I'm too weak to finish everyone in there. I just save the guy I need and leave.

I didn't think the Bison Steve was very good.
It was not very long and there was nothing in it except for the deputy and a few raiders.

I'd much rather have the statesman hotel.

If it was just like the Statesman Hotel level in Fallout 3, I'd treat it as such. I.E. I'd never go there because it's utterly ridiculous spending that much time in that stupid hotel. I was more dissappointed that The Vikki and Vance casino neevr became a full fledged casino in-game :c

I hated the Statesman hotel as well, got stuck in there while i was really low leveled, and it was on the day of release too. I got so frustrated because i just wanted to get out of there and explore, and instead spent over and hour trying to find my way out of there.

But, yes i think the Bison Steve hotel was alright, it was a quick gunfight with the gang, and then off to do other quests.

There are better areas, my personal favorites are the ones with deathclaws i.e. Quarry Junction, dead wind cavern and Deathclaw promontory
