Updating OOO from 1.3 to 1.33

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 10:43 pm

Hello all,

I decided to start playing Oblivion again recently and thought I'd get the new version of OOO since it's been a while since I last messed with it. I dutifully read the readme and followed the instructions for updating my saves but when I run the updater exe it skips all my files. I have a hunch that it's something to do with my files' association with OBSE but I'm not sure. I'm afraid to install OOO 1.33 until I sort out what the problem is.

Any thoughts?

Do a clean install, or use Wrye Bash to update the save game.

What Malonn said. Which version of OOO did you use with your saves? The esm was introduced with OOO 1.32 so if you used 1.32 there's no need to update the saves and I guess the exe would skip the saves as it doesn't find anything to update. See the currrent http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1119240-relz-oscuros-oblivion-overhaul-133/ for current links/info and http://devnull.sweetdanger.net/OOO/OOO_Guide.html for instructions on how to update a save via Wrye Bash. Also, update to OOO 1.34 Beta 5 while you're at it.

Okay, it looks like I have 1.32 then because it has an esm and esp. For some reason it appeared to be an older version. Apparently not though. Thanks for the help anyway.
