A multiplayer game with no multiplayer anyone?

I know people complain about lots. I can swallow alot of the deficiancies. But having a multiplayer game that will refuse you to play with more than a couple of other players... I'm lost for words. Especially since the singleplayer is almost intended to be useless. Is the entire game intented to be useless? Or what was the idea? I don't get it. They sure fooled me.

They fooled a lot of people. I'd be embarrassed to have been a part of this game. SD set out to create a genre-defining
game that could potentially change the way other developers and gamers look at FPS games, but in the end they ended
up making themselves look like average game designers and will most certainly be remembered for what they didn't
deliver on rather than what they did, which was practically nothing.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, this game isn't terrible, but it isn't great either, it is just an average game. There is
some fun to be had, but not nearly enough to justify a $60, or even $50, price tag. The reviews it received were pretty
damn accurate in my opinion.

Hopefully this debacle, and the negativity they received from it, will make SD realize that they need to stick to making
PC-only titles as they clearly haven't got a clue (or they don't give a ****) how to design for today's consoles.

I'm fairly certain that the developers did not intend to release a "useless" product.
SD took a new approach to the FPS and really focused on the aspect of team-play.
It would have been nice to have everything work perfectly right out of the box, but IMO this game is still very enjoyable to play.
I'm sure that that some of the multiplayer aspects can be tweaked over time, so don't fret too much!

@Mr. Dogg - If you had been embarrassed to have been part of this game, what aspect and why?
As you stated, "this game isn't terrible", so what specifically has you so upset?

The goal was to create "an immersive first-person shooter that blends single-player, co-op, and multiplayer gameplay into one seamless experience, allowing you to develop your character whether playing alone, with your friends, or against others online." - I don't think that anyone you purchased the game was fooled.
