companies are in buisness to make money, and sd and bethesda are no different, if they see a way for them to double the units they sold, or triple the units sold from the the last time, they are going to do it. who in their right mind would accept a lower bottom line? When you step into a specific market such as a fps, you HAVE NO CHOICE but to compete with the big boys, and if tweaking what they have, learning from their mistakes will help them be more competitive, you can bet your sweet buttocks they are going to do it....your points are crazy, you ask any dev from sd or bethesda and they will tell you they would love to win over the cod loyalists, i would love for them to do it, if they pulled it off, they would have copys sold in the millions, not just a few hundred thousand...
Yes, they make games to make money and they make games to attract more people. However, nobody knows about starting a new concept and building a fanbase that gets progressively larger than Bethesda. It's how they did it. And...making the same thing, aping other companies and other games generally just gets them a write off as a carbon copy company.
I am so happy that SD did not make just another CoD. I would have been so disappointed.
If you think me crazy for thinking this way then you may think right but here we call that flaming to tell someone they are crazy and anyone who flames a moderator might belong in that group themselves.
Rome was not built in a night. Brink fans will trickle in over time or they won't. If this one is profitable, they will gain a few more with each game. That is how you build something new and catching, not by stealing fans and aping other companies and games.
