I was wondering the exact same thing. It is probably related to the fact they have dedicated servers and can group up with friends ect alot easier then on consoles.

I own both the PC and the Xbox360 versions and can confirm that those are some of the main reasons. Also in this case the controls map to keyboard and mouse better. One example would be that on a control pad you have to iron sight before you can lean. On PC you can lean at any time. Don't take this as a "mouse/keyboard = ultimate control" pc bias thing. I play Assassins Creed on PC with a wired xbox controller.

Also the server browser and steam support are awesome. You can find a mostly full server to avoid bots and you can que up to join a full server that your friend is in and steam will update you when there is an opening.

Huh... I guess the "Horrible Campaign" and "Lackluster Weapons and Maps" don't show up on the PC version.

Yea thats what I figured man I wish I could afford a gaming PC. Must be nice to actually be able to play multiplayer with balanced teams and no AI. Also dedicated servers are always nice lol. On the consoles atleast from my experience so far I have yet to get into a multiplayer match with balanced teams. The matches are either severely unbalanced ex. 6-2, I am being put into matches about to end or it creates a server just for me in which no one ever joins.

Anyways another reason the PC version is probably more popular is you can take better advantage for the SMART system with a mouse and keyboard. I watched some videos of players doing some crazy things in Brink what probably wouldnt be possible with a controller.

I've played it on all 3 platforms, and seen that most "XBox and PS3" reviews are actually "only XBox but we'll assume PS3 is the same, because it certainly isn't a PC" reviews.

imo, the PS3 version is, thanks to its standardised hardware, more technically stable, there are compatibility issues with the PC version which aren't an issue on a console, and while there are some advantages with the PC having dedicated servers, there's almost no noticeable lag on PS3, so it's not being heavily disadvantaged by that lack.

If you dont mind a little editing on my part ... "Is playing a FPS on a PC that much better?" Yes, it is. And always will be.

Also, to the person who posted about wishing they could afford a gaming PC, well "gaming" PCs really arent all that pricey - you could easily have a rig for BRINK for $700 ~ $900 and then you get a machine that can do much much more than just play games on.

700-900$ is expensive especially with the way things are right now with the economy.

PSN was down during the crazy lag. The temp lag fix had already been in the pipeline by the time PSN came back up, so comparing it to what you've seen/heard about the 360 version is just silly.

There's the occasional laggy host (switchers/throttlers/walmartISPs) on PSN just like there is with xboxlive, but the crazy unplayable lag is mostly gone for now.
Go to the "Big Teams" game setting in "Freeplay" and join a few different games.... even that lag that you'll see isn't as bad as the launch lag, reason being that people with horrible connections would tend to avoid the sole 16 player game mode until a permanent patch comes.

Didn't G4 gave Brink a 2/5 2 weeks ago during launch?

Nevermind that was for the Xbox360 version.
