Well, that was reasonably embarrassing, I packaged the wrong bathtub textures with the mod. Apologies to anyone who has purpleness in the general vicinity of his or her bathtub. If you are experiencing this, please re-download! :)

Bumping this, because Star's Rest is a work of art that I wouldn't dream of playing without. This isn't just my character's retreat in Cyrodiil, it is mine- where I'd live if reality weren't such a pest.

Yes, definitely make a clean save if updating! I very much hope you're enjoying it, Olja! Let me know if those stools are too close to the table for your tiny Breton. I still take her into consideration when building dining rooms. :D

I assume the silence means no bugs, but I've not heard any feedback from those who've tried the new version yet, so, bump!

Thanks for the mod, Khettienna. :)

I have a problem already:
Spoiler
I can't find the guy near Chorrol. I've searched everywhere around the quest marker but nothing is there. I've used spells to check for corpses but no luck.

Hrm, I can't think of what would cause that unless you have something that alters the landscape in that area drastically enough that the object in question falls into the infinite pit of nothing under the ground - which is a possibility I admittedly did not consider when placing the object.

I'll add some specific console commands in the next update for such situations. Meanwhile, you can use the following commands to get around it so you can proceed through the quest normally:

Spoiler
setStage KhetSRQuest 20
This will update the quest as though you had found the object, and give you a journal entry so you don't miss any story.

Player.addItem XX008C69 1
This will give you the item you would have gotten from the object had it actually been there, which will then advance you to the next stage of the quest automatically. Replace XX with the two-digit code load order number you see in Wrye Bash next to Star's Rest.esp. If you don't have Wrye Bash or any other way of finding out the plugin's hexidecimal load order number, you can skip this, and instead...

setStage KhetSRQuest 30
Which will update the quest again as though you had received the item.

By the end of the quest chain when you have gotten to the house, console targeting any of the objects I added (including the house itself) will reveal that object's reference ID - the first two digits are the same you'd use to fill in XX in the step mentioned above. So if you want that item for posterity, you'll now be able to give yourself one if you couldn't before.

That should get you going again without skipping anything.

If you have any mods that alter the landscape in the vicinity of that quest marker, will you let me know so I can make adjustments for compatibility? Thanks very much for the bug report, and for letting me help you. Sorry I didn't respond sooner - these boards move so fast that I initially missed your post. Also thanks for being considerate and using spoiler tags. :D

If you have any more trouble, just let me know.

Update posted! Download http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25876!

WHAT'S NEW in 2.1
------------------------------
-Removed Shivering Isles dependency.
-Begrudgingly created an optional non-Cobl version.
-Tidied up some scripts to improve performance.
-Incorporated the separate Mesh Fix download from 2.0 into 2.1.
-Added a fireplace screen.
-Patched the visible seams & flickering in the house's interior mesh.
-Created a walkthrough for the quest, including console commands for those having trouble and cheat codes for those that want them.

Users updating from 2.0 do not need to make a clean save (I didn't), but users updating from earlier versions absolutely should.
Enjoy! :)

It's 6pm here! :)

I shall certainly download and install this mod, since my new char is a solitary creature, and doesn't like the crowds that can be found in the cities. She's been making do with bandit camps and old ruins so far, but a true home will make her happy.

Star's Rest has been updated with some major changes! Of note:

-Added more clutter.-Patched more seams and flickering in the house mesh.-The relic outside is now a little more forgiving about the weather.-In addition, the weather is more likely to turn then remain clear while the relic is in use.-Player controls are now properly disabled while using the relic.-New glowmaps for all the retextured Ayleid Clutter.-You can now see the day or night sky through the windows, depending on time (optional).-Condensed toggle switches into a unified control panel.-The waste basket now force-empties daily.-The teleport spell is now attached to the Hearthstone embedded in the fireplace instead of a scroll.

Please read the installation instructions, as they have changed. Enjoy! :D
