objective colour and level system

hey

another topic ..

i have 2 big problems with the game ..

1. if an enemy is in front of an objective, i cant see the enemy model - instead i see the objectve with the yellow colour which is in the background, but the enemy model is behind the yellow colour .. is it just me who is wondering why they make it like that?
how often did i die, just because i couldnt see the enemy model behind the yellow colour of an objective which is behind the enemy - if this game wants to be an esport game they have to fix it in my opinion. 1. the enemy model has to be always in front of the other visual displays (except walls) and 2. the coloured borders have to be thinner

2. why is their a limit of 20 levels? if u reach lvl 20 with a character, its like the game is done .. yeah i know, this game isnt a rpg and its not the aim of the game to gain xp points, but why this limit .. i dont see any positive aspects in that .. even if there arent new things to lock up by reaching higher levels - it would be anyway cool to see exactly how often and how good you play with your character .. its such frustating when a game is over and the only thing you see is an big "0xp" .. or am i the only one with that opinion?

so .. finally im sorry for my bad english. all the guys who want to answer "i like the game how it is, dont change nothing - if you dont like the game go and play cod" please stay back .. their are so many good ideas in this forum to this game - only because you like brink how it is, that doesnt mean their are no things which could make this game better.
be open for new ideas - brink was in the past a new idea too and how you see you like it .. so give the guys in this forum, which want to push brink and make it to a better game a fair chance. thanks

Hi there quick reply, I've not noticed the objective highlight issue but I'm guessing the level cap is something that dlc or community goals may trigger (like Reach (level cap removed) & Section 8 Prejudice (new game mode released).

I would say there is no reason to keep leveling until new abilities are added otherwise people would just instantly level up the moment the cap was raised thus gaining credits for all the (potential) new abilities.

With the cap in place it makes sense that these things may become available in the future,

a liitle push here for this thread .. am i the only one who has problems with the objective border colours?

and thats not the only thing, if im a medic and some teammate dies, i get a visual icon where i can see his body and a picture over it .. it is over the enemy model, too .. even if it is in the background of the enemy - this realy has to be fixed

player models should be always on top of everything, except of walls

I knew there was a level cap at 20, but the fact that after a game I now see a big fat '0XP' took me by surprise. Why not simply keep counting the XP?
It doesn't make sense to me. I play a game to have fun challenging myself and I do need some kind of measure to see whether or not I had a good game. Sure XP isn't everything, but how much fun is it to run a marathon without getting a time?

Good point about xp being a guage of how well you played. I never even thought about that. I do play some games and swear I should be around the 5000 - 6000 mark but epic fail to get even 3000. So it is good to see if your letting the team down.

Now that I'm at level 20 (well I have the achievement but sold all my skill points and it reset me to level 19 again and I've lost my Gattling Turret) I can see where this may be an issue.

That is until the stats page is up then it should be easier to guage performance rather than xp.

the highlights can be annoying. sometimes I just select another objective to make it a bit less annoying for what I am doing
