What class do you like working with?

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 11:41 pm

Replying too another post in the forums it suddenly popped into my head, so here's the question.

whatever class you may be.. which other class do you like working with on a team? we all know each class has different attributes and some are best suited in certain situations.

Soldiers - We have all been their when we have dry mags on both weapons... then you thank the solider who resupplies you just in time ready for another wave of enemies, or you have just been ambushed and from outta no where a molotov comes screaming past your face into the mob giving you those vital few seconds more to react.

Engineers - You just ran into a group of mediums, open fire and half way through the clip you back around the corner thinking your [censored] is going to get pushed in when they steamroll around the corner, then all you can hear is the continuous fire from a tripod mounted death machine followed by a volley of hot lead seemingly finding its way into the enemies face ultimately saving your hide from getting curb-stomped. Not to mention the handy damage amplifier to give your bullets a little extra 'Kick'

Operatives - The silent assassins... There the reason why you're turret is now firing at you, sneaky and perfect for getting behind enemy lines making his/her team jobs easier by spotting mines and generally been a nuisance as you watch some poor unsuspecting noob who got excited about incapping you casually lowers there scrotum onto your face... but what he didn't know was your skull is outfitted with the latest in explosive technology. i call it the Scrotex Bomb... BEEEP BEEEPPP BOOOOM

Medics - 13secs left on the clock to successfully complete a class specific objective and from out of nowhere you get incapped, your the only one with the right class to finish the job off as other people are too far away... you start too feel rage as for the past 15minutes you have been fighting hard to reach this point.. as you see the WIN slip away, a lightweight darts around the corner throwing you the vital piece of equipment which could possible turn the tide. After injecting yourself you quickly make a B-line for the objective taking it at the very last moment.

Those are just some examples, personally i find working with someone who's an engineer is quite a deadly duo, you can keep both supplied with ammo...he can keep your weapon buffed and covered by using the turrets also setting traps at chokepoints.

Whats your choice and why?

Although Soldiers are very appreciated when you're low on ammo, and the Operatives can do some delightfully wicked tricks (the Caltrop grenade is my personal favorite), the only consistantly useful classes (besides class specific objective completion) to me are engineers and medics. Engineers to give death, and Medics to prevent it. I know personally, at least, that on any mission where I have to defend something (a VIP, a bomb, a door, etc.) if I had a team built of four medics and four engineers, I would be one happy dude :intergalactic:

That's another reason why i think Engies are decent team mates to work with, because once they start putting down Gatling turrets and upgrading command posts that's when things get interesting. Two engies with either Gat/Turrets or Medium Turrets can hold an area by themselves for a relatively long time, depending on skill level of course lol.

If there is more then 4 medics on one team then something ain't right lol, so I'm kinda glad people are comfortable using other classes which are actually needed for the job at hand rather then worry about ''XP''.

I roll a light medic. Soldiers are my best friends cause I bleed ammo like a stuck pig (I roll Barnett and Richie, both have low ammo-counts). But nothing makes my day more than having that +33% on my Barnett :) I appreciate Ops, but they aren't really a game-changer for me.

I love the Barnett rifle its a BEASTLY weapon if the shots count.

Soldiers are everyone's best friend when the time is right lol, i will sacrifice my own Refill to replenish someone elses meter... those extra few bullets could win the match =)

I mainly use the operative, but will use whatever class is necessary for victory. Every class is needed for victory but my light operative gives me many options for diverse play keeping every game fresh to me. ;)

LoL @ the scrotex bomb statement. Yes, teabaggers beware or get your manhood blown...away. Personally I prefer the engineer due to the various ways they can turn the tide in to their favor. I don't really use medics because almost everyone else does. Sometimes I get 3 or 4 syringes thrown at me at one time....too bad I can't pick up the extra ones and put them in my pocket for later. Soldiers are good for suppressing fire, they seem to never run out of ammo plus they can scavenge dead bodies...not sure if that perp is really worth it thou. IMO, operatives are the weakess. They are only needed for hacking, they are easy to spot (just watch out for suspicious team mates without a gun in their hand). The spike genades are good but they only seem effective when they are well placed and your teamates are putting bullets in to the enemies walking over them. Thats just my take on them.

I love using the engineer because of planning and skill. The idea of putting turrents in strategic areas meanwhile trying to get open a door is so satisfying.

I love playing as an engineer and with a buff-friendly engineer. I do like soldiers cause of their massive nade cont and ammo giving capablities. However, most of the time if I am out of ammo I will just sprint to teh closet CP and refill there which makes the soldier a lil less useful :(

Hmm. Engineers and Medics are the buff happy players and very important.

If you're on the offensive you want buffed damage and protection and an engineer, on defense you want to be able to out last the wave of attackers and then the Medic is clearly the best class.
As the Medic has the supply abilities which helps the other classes play to their own strengths (by allowing the more ability uses) I would say the Medic is the most useful class to be with. I play Soldier/Operative and I happen to think I do both pretty well so it wouldnt be either of those.

I play mostly with the Sniper rifle so the Damage boost is welcomed too...

It's too hard to pick... very difficult, but I stand by my gut instinct. Medic is more useful to me than Engineer.

I'm mainly Op/Medic, with a handful of Soldier abilities on my main, with a Light body. I've finally gotten around to starting a second - Heavy Soldier so far. Will be taking a few Medic abilities too, and MAYBE one or two key Op skills as a "just in case" measure.

Voted Op/Medic because those two are the ones I enjoy most, and am best at being.

I just... can't be Engineer. I'm bad at it. I really am.

I like playing as either an operative or an engineer and i have found that there are a lot more stuff for operatives to do because when i open up the objective wheel for an engineer i might find about 3 or 4 things to do but when i open it for an operative i usually find about 7,8, or 9 things to do which keeps the game from getting boring

Forming a Medic tag-team with a random you've never met is a rewarding and totally bad-ass experience.

The Engineer class helped by a Medic preferably for me, a Soldier is helpful but the Medic is better as back-up in my opinion (I think the operative is more of a solo class as it's kinda suspicious bein disguised but with a friendly followin you)

The Engineer is good for defense and offence, the turret and mines are a good enough substitute for a Soldier's ammo pack as there is usually a CP close anyway. The Medic is then the obvious choice for me, buffed health and damage? and if im incapacitated I can get up in a sec or two? yes please!!

I like the Engineer cause to me it helps the team a lot and that is what I aim to do plus I can give them cover when need it all I need is a Soldier with me cause I tend to run out of ammo pretty fast unless I build an MG nest. To me the mines and turrets are awesome when they work together and since the Engineer is the only that gives you that then I will take it.

I pretty much work with every class, so I find them all enjoyable.

I like Op and Med the best... Kind of surprised that operative isn't that popular...
