The important question isn't whether or not we'd join it, but whether or not we'd like to see it included in Skyrim.

Ranger Guild? I'd like a faction of druids to protect the forest instead (or in addition).

Yeah, as others have said - I'll join every guild at least once with various characters...

I'd join it but I wouldn't want it included at all unless there was a good questline and story to it.

Rangers... where nothing but hunters, trappers, rought and unwashed people that slandered in the forest and appeared only to trade pelts, some rare stuff (like alchemy componenets) for tools, beer and a good [censored] with some prosttute.
I doubdt they would form a guild, but it would be fun or bloody as old griefs would surface.
I would prefer druids, but are druids really part of TES or just a push over ?

Sure, I'd join the "Woodcraft and Camping Wing" of the Thieves' Guild, why not?

TES druids wouldn't have to be like other druids (just like how dwarves aren't really like other dwarves). They just should be really connected with nature, so it could just be kind of a spirituality/philosophy that others adopt.

I'd join it at least once, more than likely, but I don't know how well a plate wearing, fireball slinging battlemage would fit in there.

Why not? You'll go out there and bring back 10 wolf pelts right now. Why? Because the guildmaster need you to. Otherwise you won't get the next quest involving bears.

I'm sure some thought will be put behind any guild that make it in to the game.

Why would such people form a guild? A ranger is by definition bound to his own area, and would therefore not really need any contact nationally with other "countryside guards". It would be like a guild of shepherds, or a guild of farmers. Centralizing stuff is the last thing they would want.

That said, if this guy is the grand master, I'm so totally in:

I might try it out, but I doubt I would fit in. I'm an argonian clad in the heaviest of armor, wielding a bow and a claymore. I'm more of a Siege Archer kinda guy, you, the archers that would destroy buildings... >.>
Might be overkill for hunting a dear.
