Duel Wielding.

Give operatives dual wielding, maybe it will help balance them out.

Just operatives? That would make every ghetto gangsta wanabe play operatives, giving birth to the rash of ninja operatives every one feared before they realized every one was a ninja...

Besides, operatives melt faces. I'd argue that they can tear things up at least as much as a good soldier, if not better. They cause chaos and disarray to what was previously an organized movement, can turn enemy emplacements against them, blind them to oncoming traps and slow progress. They can move virtually undetected, while spreading death and stealing command points.

Good operatives will regularly see 7-10k xp per run. More even if you xp [censored]. They sneak in, and can change the tide of battle, and turn a previously well fortified position into a death trap for the enemy.

Of course, the AI is too stupid to take advantage of the gaping holes you create in defenses, but online its beautiful. Also besides the point.

In the end, i still insist that a single pistol is already lethal and dangerous. The reduced accuracy of dual pistols would be so much, and the downfalls so bad that you wouldnt want to bother, save for a change of pace.

You're not very good as an Operative, are you?

I generally give Medics a run for their money, in both usefulness to the team AND XP earned.

I dunno why everyone is talking about Dual Wielding when the thread is obviously about Duel Wielding.

Though if it was about Dual Wielding, I'd probably suggest it being a Rank 5 Universal Ability which lets you trade Iron-sights and knife attack for extra ammo and firing rate, specifically when using a Pistol.

Originally I would have said Lights and Mediums get duel wielding pistols and Heavies can have duel wielding SMGs. But because the SMGs are so OP I would now say Pistols for all.

Dual Wielding pistols would be good. Dual smgs as a heavies secondary, maybe. The other two classes, pistols. Also, only the Kalt, Belgo MP, and that other one inbetween them can use dual wielding. The Ritchie would be ridiculous, and the Sea-Eagle is pretty much a revolver too. With the excuse of not being able to reload revolvers as easily as the Kalt/Belgo/other one, it could be pretty fair. Since the TV spot showed him dual wielding Kalt pistols.

Everything else is a big fat no. This game was made to eliminate corner camping... And they shouldnt bring it back with dual shotguns. The only ones who can camp are the snipers, and at least you can see us before you round a corner and get shredded by 12+ bullets from 2 shotguns.

I also liked the idea about incorporating Killing Floor's method of ADS with pistols, but I feel like there should be no ADS with dual wielding, and make it like Halo 3 where another button fires the weapon.

And bullet penetration. We need that.

Why not? Add a new 'gun', double uzi's or tec 9's. 1 button to fire them. It can be 100% cosmetic and probably look pretty cool ingame.

I'd prefer to fire each weapon seperately using MB1 & MB2 (or the respective triggers).

Then I can fire one empty while saving the second for a second encounter. And reload one while the other is still ready.
