I have just built my self a new pc. I ran the Fallout NV on the old system without any problems. But on the new system I start the fallout and klick "new game". Than I see the indro video but when it shoud start it crashes, No error messange exept for "windows is looking for a solution".
And an other odd thing is that at the auto detect for the graphic shows "SET TO LOW".
My system config:
Win 7 64 bit
Asus Rampage III Extreme
Intel i7 950
12 GB DDR3 RAM
Asus Radeon HD EAH 6870
Friend, that vidcard is pretty new.
This game is still sorting out issues with ATI drivers (or should I say AMD).
Point is, nVidia SLI guys are already happy while ATI CrossFire guys are still struggling...
I know you aren't running XFire but it could be a week or so before they get you ATI guys sorted out.
Even AMD themselves are still developing the drivers for your vidcard.
Haven't you heard - early adopters are always on 'the front lines' of technology, and can generally expect to be inconvenienced in the beginning...
(You could say that about this game in general - we all should have waited a coupla weeks, heheh)
Patience!
Nice rig BTW.
But I must admit, I don't understand why anybody would buy ATI. The software svcks! svcks big-time.
