Don't we have this sort of thread all ready? BTW: They will NEVER remake games.

You are right in the way that they would never RE-MAKE a game.........but thats not what the OP is asking. He is saying that an expansion could be in another region.

Now on one of the Bethesda Podcasts Todd did say that he is not against returning to a region as it would have changed during the timeline (Just think at what Vvardenfell would look like 200 years after morrowind with all that has happened there.)

But in response to the O's original question I voted other.

I am not against the large DLC, I just prefer little things added to the game - one of my big 'wants' is armour and weapon stands and the ability to knock a NPC unconsious, I have tried playing without killing and its currenty a non starter for TES games. Its not that I done want to kill, its just another Character that I can explore.

A DLC were you go to the land of patience and learn how to wait for the the base game to actually come out before you start crying about DLC's. :facepalm:

Something along the same lines as Bloodmoon, or the Shiver Isles would be ideal. I personally love when they add on a new large-scale area to the game that you're free to explore and come and go, without feeling too confined. Maybe a hidden city or island. Maybe even the Infernal City, if that would even be possible with the lore (I haven't read the book).

Also, I see people are arguing about revisiting old areas & "remaking games". It's true that they wouldn't completely remake a game, but they obviously are open to revisiting areas, considering that in TES Arena you could go to High Rock, Hammerfell, Morrowind, and Skyrim, all places that are featured in later games, not to mention the rest of Tamriel.

In reference to a remake of Daggerfall, I highly doubt it to be in DLC form. Although, I think that Bethesda is open to re-visiting places such as Daggerfall, Morrowind and Hammerfall in future Elder Scrolls installments (more of a re-visiting rather than a remake). Todd Howard has mentioned that Skyrim is in a sense the beginning of a new era in the Elder Scrolls world. This, I believe, allows the developers to venture back to other places in Tamriel and tell a new story.

DLC = Downloadable Content
You can download the Shivering Isles.
Shivering Isles = DLC

If it was released separately in a box, THEN it isn't DLC.

Well, you can download Oblivion, on Steam. Does that make it DLC? Surely not. And, of course, Shivering Isles was in a box as well as being DLC. So its a bit more complicated...

All a moot point, of course, as the Devs have said that they will be making Fallout sized DLC. The best to hope for is something the size of Knights of the Nine, the worst case scenario is throwaway trash like The Orrery or Spell Tomes

That would be a downloadable game. Downloadable content is what it is, content for the game that you can download.
