Steam gauge assembly

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 4:01 pm

I need to find at least one more steam gauge assembly for a certain unmarked sidequest... but after going to a lot of places that has a lot of misc stuff like that (such as the REPCONN) and visiting a lot of vendors, none whom were in the possession of one, I've still not managed to find one (wonder why they're apparently so frakking rare?). So, I wonder if anyone here might recall were I might be able to find one? The only one I've found was the one at Camp McCarran...

Have you tried Nellis Airforce base? in particular, Nellis hangar?

If there is one there then you'll most likely have to steal it, but its easy enough, and the Boomers are sound :)

Already checked there. No steam gauge assembly there, alas :(

In vegas there is a mission to get a sixbot that starts in the wrangler. If you go to the building that's in, I'm almost positive it has a steam gauge assembly and a crap load of scrap metal/sensor modules for that matter.

If you haven't already, try Old Lady Gibson at the scrapyard NW of Novac.

They are much more rare than FO3 for sure but most places aren't cluttered with "junk" like FO3 either I think it's due to a havok issue, but try the repconn test site there is a good amount of stuff there.

I did. She had none.

The place vendur pointed out had some, though - Four in total, indeed! Proved to be sort of in vain though - the unmarked quest to fix the Food Sanitizer (or whatever it's called) at Camp McCarran appears to be broken, as it keept telling me that I didn't have all the parts on the list to fix it, despite that I actually had'em all :( . Fortunately I could still fix it thanks to Jury Rigging though...

That's a known bug, you just need to get a second Pot, for it to recognize and accept the first Pot.

I also had to look for those. I was able to get one from a foot locker in Camp Golf. One of the troopers tents. Hope this helps. I also noticed more of them in the Fiends Territories; on some metal shelves kinda out in the open. Good luck
