Questions about installing Race Balancing Project (Full)

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 3:23 pm

I wanted the new races, hairs, eyes etc, but I have no clue if I need any of the additional installation folders (all the ones after the 00 main one) to get these. Do I just install the core + module plugins , with the installation files from the 00 Main folder? Also, I am using Roberts Male Body Replacer v5, should I also install the 06 Body Mod Support - Robert's Male texture/mesh files?

You need all the '00' labelled folders. Install them first. Everything else is optional. Install the folders you want in order (01, 02 etc.) overwriting as necessary.

Only install the '01 Modules' if you want them. As you use Roberts body install '05', again overwriting as necessary.

All this is in the readme, albeit in a slightly confusing arrangement.

If you use OBMM, TheNiceOne has made http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25266 to make this process easier.

Again, read the readme, it has all the information you need as well as details on the race changes which are helpful when it comes to character design.

So the 00 folders contain new races + hair & eyes?

Yes, in the large (~300M) archive. The other folders are options, variants, body support etc. You do have both archives? The smaller one only installs the base RBP. You need the large one for all the eye-candy stuff.

I have two archive files. One containing the plugins and the other containing the "installation files". So I just install the folders labeled 00 from both archives to get the new races + hair&eyes?

Yes, plus the appropriate Roberts folders since you use that.

Thanks a ton for your help and your time  I was wondering though, hypothetically, if I accidentally installed race balancing project without the Roberts texture support folder, would it mess up my saves I have if I install it now? Do I have to create a new game?

If you used BAIN to install you could simply just check the Roberts-folder and 'Install Missing'. Though I can't imagine any other way of adding could be a problem either, and you shouldn't need to start a new game. :)
