Carb-9...

Oy, no, I'm just rather critical about posts is all. Just search before asking questions and don't make hollow complaints.

Recoil is bad, but if you fire in two-shot bursts, it's much too easy to control.

that can be said about any fully auto weapon

How could you possibly think the weapon that does the most dps in the game is the worst?

Because it handles like [censored]?

I just play a lot better with a Gerund because at least it can maintain some degree of precision and stability in bursts.

I shall leave it right here:
I am a carb9 user, yes it is OP. It simply haves too high damage and as few of you say "It svcks at larger distances", it does, but that's why you have a richie as your secondary. The trick with Carb is not to ADS, just spray 'em and profit.

I know that there is a thread somewhere about this, but I couldn't find it...

I think that the Carb-9 is a bit over powered...
I was playing as a heavy, and I was getting killed by LIGHT's who were using it... (Human players)
And it took them only half a clip or so just to bring me down.

I think that the gun is a bit ridiculous if it can have such a fire rate and damage... The heavy weapons should outmatch those weapons no problem. (IMO)

I don't know, I'm going to experiment a bit more with the heavy later on, maybe it's just the oversized body type -.-'

So yeah, I'll check and see and update what I find :P

if your dying as a heavy from the carb that is your bad. it takes 20 bullets to take down a heavy and you get the best gun in the game? you also have a minigun, use it? the Carb bounces around like no other you can only shoot the first 4 bullets straight on the rest go up above their head. Dont bag on the carb just use your guns more

I personally like the Carb-9. It is definetly a weapon that delivers a swift kick in the go nads when people keep calling you "Light Scrub". PARKOUR> :twirl:

I find it hilarious that when people make these threads everyone seems to have a different preferred load out(for the most part) even though one or two guns are 'overpowered'. Maybe SD has more experience than general gamers(surprise surprise) and has the game much more balanced that we think.

edit: I do too like to use the carb, i do find it can be sightly overpowered sometimes in cqc(eg slaughtering 1 or 2 heavies in one go) but i does have its disadvantages in long range encounters.

I really don't think it does this.

I much prefer the Kross and Tampa to either of those guns, anyways. They do just fine on the battlefield for me.

23 x 20 = 460. The Heavy certainly does not have 460 health. At most the Heavy has 280 health so that's 13 bullets max. Also, the CARB-9 fires ~15 bullets per second so even with a couple of misses it won't take long to kill a Heavy. As for the best weapon in the game, it certianly is not a Heavy weapon. I can honestly say that you have no idea what you are talking about after reading your post.

Dropping damage anywhere below 22 per-bullet (which would make the Tampa the strongest SMG) would leave absolutely no incentive to use the thing. It's useless for ADS, and hip-fire only gives the slightest bit of efficiency within CQC/borderline-close-range... any further out and it's down to luck.

The Euston works really well as a secondary weapon. Out of the assault rifles it can attain the fastest reload and swap speeds along with a surprisingly fast fire rate. The only issue with it is that it lacks ammunition per a magazine.

I love the Euston, it is my go to gun most of the time. And if you say it handles poorly, you must not know how to use it. If you are using bursts, and it's not working, just fire it like a semi-auto weapon.

It's not entirely versatile - Bulpdaun has its own pros and cons.

Bulpdaun gets the best ADS accuracy but least mag size and slowest equip speed of all SMG's.

Bulpdaun also has the longest reload of the SMG's. But just throw an Extended mag on there and it's fine.

Extended mag, once again.
That's what i ALWAYS run with Euston.

For god's sakes NO, that thing is complete and utter [censored] beyond close quarters. I know I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but these threads are getting annoying. If the Carb was nerfed it would be unusable. The fact is, it has the worst recoil of ALL SMGs and the 2nd worse spread behind the Tampa (which is essentially a machine pistol anyway) which makes using the damn thing all down to sheer luck beyond close quarters... and there's a difference between close QUARTERS, and close RANGE (the most common range in Brink).

I struggle using the Carb at close range or beyond, because even burst-firing ADS is like an earthquake simulation and hip-fire just comes down to wildly throwing sprays of bullets at opponents like a shotgun. The Carb has high damage which is great at point-blank range, but it has a huge trade-off in that it suffers at ranges that the Bulp, and even sometimes the Kross or Galactic, can work at with ease.

In my opinion, hip firing is more accurate than ADSing. But that's just me.

hahaha i am guessing you aren't a heavy nor have you ever used the carb 9 hahaha if you hold down the fire button and the enemy is 30 feet away about half of the clip will hit within a 1 foot diameter if you fire the whole clip. You don't believe me go play the game and fire at a wall and look at the bullet holes.. If he is closer than 30 feet away( which isn't far at all when everyone has guns) then ya it is a great gun... just like every single other weapon and i play as a heavy and a light so i know what the greatest guns are genius.. if you played as a heavy then you would know that the Maximus MG which can only be held by a heavy is godly if you know how to use it.. Its like 10 bullets if you only hit them in the feet and like 4 to the head. The Chinzor MG is also unstoppable at medium to short range. if you were good then you know that you can mo people down with that gun as a heavy. i know what i am talking about you don't.. but thanks for playing

Heavy Soldier. Molotov + Chinzor = 5 enemies dead in less time than a point-blank CARB-9 would take to kill me.
