@DCDeacon Is there alot of Invincible NPCs like in Oblivion in Skyrim or we can [censored] things up and kill some relatively essential people =D?

@KenjiSenpai Radiant Story allows for more carnage, that's for sure.

Honesty, I didn't notice them that much in Oblivion & FO3. But, then, I tend to avoid "bring a companion with you" or "escort" quests. And I don't try to kill off towns.

They definitely need to have a few, just because of the potential of random open-world events to kill off people needed for the Main Story?.

I really wish people wouldn't post things that Pete says on twitter. He always says practically nothing and people take it as confirmation of everything and then we have a bunch of half-truths floating around.

That's not a confirmation that there won't be invincible NPC. He completely (and rightly) dodged your question by saying that there will be lots of carnage.

YOU CAN HAVE CARNAGE AND STILL HAVE INVINCIBLE NPCs.

Stop putting words in people's mouths. This is why he won't tell some random kid on twitter information like that, they leave that sort of info for press releases.

He didn't really say that there won't be invincible NPCs, he said that there will be LESS. Read carefully before replying with false accusations.

No he did't, he said "Radiant Story allows for more carnage, that's for sure.". That does not necessarily correspond with less essential NPCs which seems to be what the OPs question boils down to.

there were a few useless ones like a drunk guy in cheydenhall, there were to many because the main quest touched alot of side quests like getting support for the oblivion crisis.

Basically, side-quest givers are not invincible as they can be replaced by others. Main-quest givers are still invincible...

...so nothings changed, except a sociopath can get a second chance at those oh so enthralling side-quests. :ahhh:

Weeeeelllll.... animals with heavy hides (the kind you'd make heavy leather armor from), or very thick & dense fur, have what amounts to light armor versus some kinds of damage. Still, wouldn't expect anything beyond Hide/Leather level, except on things like armored fantastical beasts (dragons, some dinosaurs, etc.)

I think he was dodging the question, but you could also think that he is implying that there are less invincible NPCs. Its definitely not a definitive comment, but it could possibly hint towards less invincible NPCs. He really didn't say anything there, it just left a possibility of less invincible NPCs, which was exactly the same as before he asked the question.

It wouldnt be much of a video game if for the sake of realism you killed everything with one hit from a zweihander.

its not realistic when your level 26 and 100 blunt with the mace of the deadric prince of [censored], and you do 10 damage
