Okay. During the mission "the house always wins 2" i am supposed to bring the Platinum chip to Fortification hill. but i just gave him the chip to upgrade the securitrons and it was never given back to me. how do i get the chip back so i can finish the mission.

i really wanted to do a house playthrough this time around and i hope i am not permanently locked out of it

What does your current quest marker say? Go to cotton wood cove and then fortification hill? If thats the case, just go ahead and go. Some sort of script will run when you get to the legion camp, and they'll take all your weapons, including the chip for some reason. Once you talk to Caesar he'll want you to go into a bunker in fortification hill and use the chip...which means its added back to your inventory.

Assuming that there is no chip in your inventory to begin with, there should be no problems...

Don't worry about what Caesar asks you to do though, it won't conflict with House's mission.

If you're still worried though, make an extra save game, and head over to cotton wood cove.

i shot and killed caesar , saved Benny and went back to house and gave him the chip to upgrade the securitrons. i didnt realize that going down to the weather control center at the fort was a house mission so after i gave him the chip to upgrade the securitrons he told me to go back to the fort and go into the underground place. but i dont have the chip and dont know how to get it back from house

(also every one at the fort is dead so they dont take my stuff.)

Yeah, that might have screwed up the House missions. House specifically orders you not to kill Caesar, after all. Still, seems like a bit of a bug, since House should give you the chip after he upgrades his Securitrons anyways.

well damn. i cant do independent now either. so i guess i have to do another NCR playthrough.
