I always loved Daedric, because of it's dark, red and spiky pieces. It was just so Gritty, and screamed "Elder Scrolls". That and Crusader Armor. I always loved the Helm for that set of armor. I am liking the Elven seen in the Skyrim Trailer. TBH it looks more like heavy armor now.
Usually leather, sans hat and boots (not sure if that's a good idea in chilly Skyrim though). Although it came pretty low on the awesomeness scale, leather looked more in keeping with what an adventurer would wear and could always be enchanted; not sure how much scope there'll be for customisation with the trend for all-in-one outfits, though.
Light armour, probably offensive stat boosting, with dual shortswords or a bow. I'm doing a merc and loner type warrior character who's more speedy then powerful.
no armour at all just robes that i think look cool. Then i play through the mages guild until i can enchant them and enchant my robes. or play through the dark brotherhood and use the armour they give me since it was good for stealth but i prefer black robes with a war axe and no shield
