I am looking for a list of the items needed to create the cooking/survival recipes. Has anyone made this list anywhere that you know of?

I am having a problem with the Cactus Water - I have cola and sasparilla Empty bottles in my inventory. I have the skill to make this. Bottles Do NOT show up as being in my inventory and I am getting frustrated lol.

So maybe with a list I can start to collect other needed items for Different recipes.

Also - where do you find some of the items - Xantia (sp? flower??) etc.

Go to a campfire and activate it. Should give you the whole long list? Try looking on Fallout Wiki for the ingredients

Empty Sarsparilla Bottle
Empty Nuka-cola Bottle
and
Empty Soda Bottle

...are all different items. Only one of them will work for the recipe.

Survival part of the game is horribly under-developed and recipes badly lack balancing.... I hope a DLC will improve it.

So there IS something called a Soda Bottle vs the cola or Sarsparilla bottles?? Where do you find this type of item?

On the road to the mojave outpost there's a truck with a few boxes. The overpass above the road to repcon has a pyramid of soda bottles on it. There are some in containers. There's More but those are the ones ive seen in the past half an hour.

I am surprised someone hasn't made a list with recipes and info on where to get the ingredients.

If you met the skill requirement for the recipes already known by default, I think the game should add them to your pipboy so you don't have to constantly run all over the damned place for campfires trying to figure out what ingredients you need. Would be a lot more convenient on hardcoe mode, plus it makes sense.

There are a few in the gas station at the top of Goodsprings. Only the actual empty soda bottles will work, empty sarsparilla and Nuka Cola bottles won't work for some reason.

Whats the point in having food recipes in this game, i mean - this is not the sims.

Probably because most people who have bothered to explore the Survival skill in it's entirety have realized how "not worth it" it is... ridiculous ingredients for lackluster items, etc.



Survival allows you to make some medical supplies as well, but some foods provide benefits... I.E. Brahmin Steak provides a +1 to STR as well as typical HP and food benefits. What an asinine remark to make... :glare:

Go to the Fallout Wikia and look under crafting. There is a shopping list for all ingrediants and what they are used for. You can then click on the item and a page will load with the recipe.

Also a load of empty soda bottles in No-bark's shack (but you have to steal them.)
