The Daedra Princes

Post » Thu Sep 02, 2010 1:14 am

Hey, I'm trying to get a good Idea about all of the planes of oblivion belonging to each Daedric Prince. The Shivering Isles Expansion obviously gave me a very clear idea about Sheogorath's realm, and The In-Game Book On Oblivion gave me vague ideas of a couple of planes. I need to know all of the planes, especially(you guessed it) Boethiah's plane. If theres any websites that describe all of them, It would be great if you posted them. Thanks!

It's good to be back.

And yea, I've noticed that too. Other information giving information about Sheogorath's realm calls it The Madhouse or the Asylum, and is decribed differently than how Shivering Isles portrayed the realm. Which leads me to believe that one of the names is incorrect. Or theres a long, confusing story about the Sheogorath/Jygallag thing.

Neither Doors of Oblivion or the Census describe anything at all about Sheogoraths Realm. The names can be considered nicknames or alternative names.

Point. Especially since Boethiah can't seem to make up his mind on the name of his realm. :P

I didn't think The Daedra Lords had a gender, but that they interchanged genders for the purpose of them being in them ortal world(IE, a prince trying to seduce a mortal man would appear to him as a woman, or if he didn't fly like that...)

Yes, but up and though Daggerfall, Boethiah preferred to take a female form.

You may want to take a look here: http://www.imperial-library.info/book_daedra/

About a third down the page starts the Daedra Lords.

Boethiah can't really make up his/her mind about anything, can s/he?
No offense, Servant(Boethiah doesn't work for a nickname in this case :/)

The terms "Madhouse" and "Asylum" were used by mistaken explorers of Oblivion when they visited Sheogorath's realm. They never went past the Fringe, which is very much a holding cell or "asylum" for visitors.

That's an inference I drew. AFIK, it's not in a book. Or is it? LOL.

I think the female Boethiah (aside from the fact that he/she can switch genders) was another mistake on the author's part. Why do some sources state his/her preferred form to be female, when he's obviously male whenever he appears? Probably confusion considering the Boethiah/Almalexia connection. Now whether or not Boethiah intended this confusion is another question altogether.
