I've checked PES, TESNexus, and Google, does anyone know if there is such a mod existing somewhere in the confines of the internet, hiding from view?

EDIT: Drake The Dragon knows of a mod that is precisely what I'm seeking. It's called "Tiamat the Fire Drake" If anyone has it, or know of a download mirror of it, or an equivalent in a different name. Here are the images Drake posted:

The closest you're going to get is SaidenStorm's Akatosh Mount, which is obviously a mount, not a companion. The only other mods I know of that add dragons at all are http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10658 (which isn't exactly lore-friendly) and http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25737.

I can't find it anymore and don't know where it disappeared to, but some time ago there was a mod called "Tiamat The Fire Drake" using (requiring) the famous Akatosh Mount mod by Saiden Storm and putting it into the game as a creature, scaled-down, CM Partner-based I think, for you to acquire as a companion.

that's PERFECT! :thumbsup: If it exists/existed, perhaps someone has it in their files or something, and *might* be able to find a host for it. So I guess the next order of business is does anyone have that? I'd be very much appreciative. (I'm going to edit the OP too)

From the readme: 'The holder of the files included in the 7Zip archive "Tiamat the Firedrake" by Maigrets shall not redistribute, copy, or change the contents in any way except for personal use without my permission. This mod must not be uploaded anywhere else for any reason without contacting me.

Whether or not you respect this is up to you. The author presumably had their reasons for taking this off Nexus and the rest.

I'm glad its the actual file, and thank you again for taking that risk... I wonder what had happened or whether or not it was ever on the nexus, PES, etc. or perhaps people were doing unauthorized retex/changes or other mirrors/uploads...

The author would seem to be well known (although not by me) and is active on Nexus. You have sparked my curiosity and I will PM her in the hope of shedding further light on this.

Hmmm... Now that you mention it, I remember seeing a lot of other companion mods done by Maigrets on PES. :shrug:

I found a Nexus post by Maigrets from July:

'I removed my mods some time ago to a central site due to life issues I was having, (which still continue), so I could manage them without worrying about trolls and having to visit several sites to check on them. I can also tell you people don't seem to have a problem finding my mods. I'm also not in it for the downloads, kudos, fame or the trolls, which I've had plenty of along with many other modders.'

So ends the mystery! I may just take Tiamat for a spin.

I was having some issues (as you can see by that awful quote ) when I removed my mods from everywhere and for a long while they were only hosted at a small forum. They are still listed there.

It was personal real life stuff, as well as having enough of emails and messages that I could well do without at the time. I'm also well aware of people's opinions regarding modders removing their mods from circulation.

I've re-uploaded most of my mods at PES, but I didn't bother with Tiamat or Spirit Wolf because I didn't think anyone would particularly want them. I was wrong on both counts, since I've had requests for both now which is nice. I was thinking of updating them both at some stage but that will be some time though because I'm doing some modding for Nehrim at the moment, adding some of my companions there and maybe a house or something. I've already done the House Cats.

Anyway, there are two versions of Tiamat. The original which uses Saiden Storm's files directly and has the annoyingly loud foot and wing sounds that are hard coded by the game. That is the better version in a way because it has the proper fire spell from Saiden Storm's Akatosh.

The other version is using the files from MMM and although it has quieter sounds I did get reports the dragon was invisible for people not using MMM which I do. I haven't actually played with Tiamat in my game for some time so I don't know if it is still affected now that MMM has gone to a BSA with FCOM, which I now use.

Anyway, I was thinking of re-uploading it at some stage, but here are the links to both in the meantime.
