Reign of Fire

Not necessarily I saw a link to an in-game book which described dragon riding, forget where it was. It doesn't flatly contradict anything.

On a lighter note I had a mental image of my char walking up to the final dragon and just being like,"Wazz up Alduin Mo' Fu**a you my Bi**h now! And then flying away on his back.

mine would be facing alduin, then my character would use a dragon shout to turn himself into a dragon (smaller than alduin of course) and then having a aerial fight after which the finishing strike would be a bite of my dragon to alduin's neck and then turning quickly back to normal to stab alduin onto the back of it's head making it plummet to the ground, my character the rises from it's corpse unscathed.

I disagree. It wasn't very good as a movie, but the dragons were awesome. Very good action sequences.

Edit: Also, OT, my favorite movie dragons are from Reign of Fire and Dragonheart. Cool dragon design, imo. The Skyrim ones will be cool in the medieval wyvern style, though.

you misunderstand.

yes martin's a dragonborn, doesn't mean he knows how to use his powers since he only came to know about his lineage once your character tells him, he only managed to transform into a dragon/"avatar of akatosh" by studying ancient tomes of daedric magic, the book of mehrunes dagon and the amulet of kings.

he probably didn't have access to dragon language tomes or writings about dragon shouts nor did he learn how to use "the voice".

While I agree about Martin not knowing about the Dragon's tongue... I can't find the correlation between what Martin did and becoming an actual dragon. He just acted as a receptacle for the Avatar of Akatosh, and lost his life.

from what i remember it was the high chancellor ocato who said that it was an avatar of akatosh, at the time i just took his statement as a bunch of hogwash and that martin actually just turned into a dragon.
i kinda still believe that unless it is stated as fact otherwise.

It has a good premise though as does the Twilight series' take on vampires and werewolves and What Dreams May Come's take on the afterlife. A good premise does not automatically a good film make however. AVP is a good example of an awesome premise that was poorly realized. Regardless of how bad a film is it doesn't detract from the value of the base premise of that film.
