Quick Questions : Fallout: New Vegas

Hello i have two quick questions.

1. When side with a faction is it are the other two factions going to dislike you or is it like one faction is more or less geared to screw with another faction?

2. If you are friendly or neutral with a faction and wear their amour will they turn against you since you are really not part of them?

1. Hard to say as far as NCR and Ceasars legion go they are complete enemies so boosting one will likely cause the other to hate you. As for House i've heard some people saying he's a faction but not really sure so i have no idea how relationships would work.

2. From what was said in the best buy interview it seems like they will become hostile and try to kill you.

One of the first mods will no doubt be to add in versions of armor that do not use the disguise mechanic assuming there isn't already some ingame. So as long as your on PC you should be able to wear that shiny armor.

your own faction wont turn on you. unless you turn on them first
just dont wear the enemy armor into your factions base

i wish i was on PC, but i would not be able to run it, so hopefully it doesnt work that way.

Your faction won't turn on you if you're wearing their armor. Why would they? They'll attack you if you wear the enemies armor, yeah.

There are apparently disguises you can wear and as long as you do not get too close to a high ranking officers or dogs, you are ok, I expect this system to be glithcy as hell however.

so if i walk into a NCR base while im on their side and im wearing CL stuff ill get shot at? Why didnt the BoS kill you in F03 if you walked into the citadel wearing Enclave power armor? am i missing something?

im not sure what the op asked

if you where an enemy factions armor into an enemy factions base. they wont attack unless you get to close. the dogs will sniff you out rather quickly though

@bigreadbeast- because there was no reputation system in that game

Because for whatever reason Fallout 3 didn't use a disguise system. Fallout New Vegas however does.

i mean dont get me wrong i think this is a cool system but it would kinda svck if i have to take my armour off to ensure i dont get shot by the other factions.

cant your faction at least just recognize that it's you? i mean just cause your wearing the other teams armor doesnt mean youve turned into one of them.. if anything its like a victory prize cause you killed and took the other factions gear

I have a better question: If you have a great reputation with the NCR but dress in Legion armor, will they attack, and will that lower your reputation?

This is the same question the O.P asked, except mine is coherent.

They are not literally "disguises" but when you equip a non-allied faction's clothing then it will say "You are now disguised as a ____ member". Im sorry but sometimes I am a bit OCD lol.

It only makes sense that if your going Into a CL legion camp wearing NCR armor that you get attacked. The two hate each other. It is only logical, and I thank Josh Sawer and co for these small details which are going to Make New Vegas GOTY! :fallout:
