hmm i study alot of the elder scrolls history and this i have to say is a subject ive never thought about or heard of...alot of the gods seem mad to me rather than love most of them would rather pull your flesh away from your bones and make you dance.

its a good question though i'll look around.

Chapter 9. But its a story in a fictional story so take it with the grain of salt. It might be based on an old legend (Not the edward part, thats fiction) but its hardly credible.

I'm sure stranger things have happened. There might be myths or legends floating around we've never heard or read before.

Or there might not.

Morihaus was an Ada and in love with Allesia.
Rain is Kyne's tears for Shor.
Mara was married to either Shor or Auri-El or both.

The et'Ada had to marry and make children according to the Altmeri myth.

There might have been some love involved.

Ayem and Vehk were known to have a relationship after having become gods. Then again, Ayem has had many, many relationships. And of course Vehk had that short relationship with Molag Bal.

Umaril was half-god; his father was divine and his mother was mortal.

Of course, as mentioned before, there were Morihaus and Alessia.

There's also Sheogorath and Relmyna.

Molag Grunda decided to run off with Nomeg Gwai.

Sanquine probably loves himself in many ways also.

Both emotionally and physically.

...he found a way.

I don't know about love, but isn't Kynareth Lorkhan's widow? And something about Aka and Mara being married. I dunno.

As far as lust goes, there's always the spear biting thing from the sermons. That's kinda' love. Physical love. heh heh. Yeah, the verb form of love, not the noun, if you catch my drift.

EDIT: Sorry, just read Proweler's post. Should've known he'd beat me to it. LOL. Why do I always point out things a little while after Proweler's completely explained the whole thing? You're just too damned good, man.

My fellows,

In a discussion of whether the Aedra / Daedra have ever felt love, we must remember that "GOD IS LOVE", according to http://www.imperial-library.info/obscure_text/5th_era_loveletter.shtml. They would not be gods if they could not touch Love. (Thus we mourn for the Dwemer, who had no knowledge of Love. See http://www.imperial-library.info/mwbooks/lessons.shtml#3)

Vivec's reign will be seen as an act of the Highest Love (http://www.imperial-library.info/mwbooks/lessons.shtml#35), and of course THIS GUY had more lovers than we can count. In fact, the Bouyant Armigers, as a group, were said to keep him/her company.

Almalexia had many, MANY lovers, including (but not limited to) Indoril Nerevar, Vehk, Sotha Sil, Salas Valor (the "Missing Hand"), etc.

Mara is the goddess of Love. (http://www.imperial-library.info/nine_divines/)

Alessia (the mother of the stars) was in love with Morihaus (another Ada) and later coupled with King Hrol to give birth to Reman Cyrodiil.

I'm sure the list goes on and on, but to answer the question.....yes, both the aedric and padomaic higher entities feel love.

Yours in the Scrolls,

___The Word Merchant of Julianos
