console language, pc requirements

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 7:55 pm

Hi all,

I've got several questions related to New Vegas.
My first question is related to the language(s) for the game. I currently live in Italy but i'd really like to play the game in English on my xbox. Will I be able to choose the language, or am i forced to play it in Italian? I searched the forum a little bit but i didnt find any answer so far- sorry if its a double post. The only question i found related to this matter was from a ps3 player and no one replied. I want to play it in English because i really like the story line and i don't understand a lot of Italian.
There is the option of playing the game on my laptop but i don't know if it can run the game properly. So I could buy the game for xbox but understand only half of the storyline or i could buy the pc version and play with sloppy graphics; that can also ruin the experience.

My laptop is a HP Pavilion dv7 - 1030el specs:
CPU : Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 @ 2.26 ghz
RAM : 4 GB
Graphics : nVidia geforce 9600M GT -512MB dedicated, 128bit
OS: Windows 7 - 64 bit
It has passed the system requirements from systemrequirementslab but so did many other games and they worked like crap.
And finally. Which of these platforms would be a better experience for Fallout? I'm asking because i just bought the xbox and i don't know the difference between fallout on a pc or on a console.
Thanks in advance

Well I do not know how games are like in different countries. Do you know somebody in North America or Britian or some other english speaking country? Maybe they can mail you a copy of the game. How about going to a gaming store and ask them for an English copy of the game? There are some gaming forums you can try and buy from. http://www.game.co.uk/.

i tried the website. it says the system is ok but it also said that its a go for other games that i later tried and didn't work as i hoped.

Thanks for the site but is UK only. I know some people but it'd take a long time just to send the money and then receive the copy and i dont know if i can wait that long :)) About the store... i tried several stores and they weren't sure if its in English or Italian ( blockbuster employees are morons). Also i bought several games and some were in Italian (only) and some were in English.

Fallout 3 worked pretty ok on the pc. Games do look better on gaming pc's but mine is just a laptop going old already. It's overheating most of the time and i heavily rely on it for courses and projects so it would be really bad to trash it because of games. Thats why i bought the console - cause its cheap and i dont need extreme graphics.
But i like fallout more than other games so if i buy it i want to really be able to enjoy it thats why i have this dilemma. I'm not even sure of the controls. Its been pretty hard to accomodate to the xbox controller but i think its because of years of playing shooters with a mouse.

I live in Canada. I used this site to buy Fallout 1, 2 and tactics as well as Alpha Cenatauri. So they deleveried it overseas. I believe you are so much closer than I am so I don't think it should be a problem for you to order there.

When you buy games, is english on the covers? If so are they in english or in Italian?
