We've been told that the invasion devastated every portion of Tamriel. Oblivion rumors mention destruction in Vvardenfell and Skyrim, specifically. I see no reason for it not to have occurred in other continents. However, just the other day we were given reason to suspect that Dagon got his orange ass handed to him in Black Marsh. Sodden trees don't burn, especially when they're sentient.

You also learn Vivec is lost, destroyed or just 'lost contact' isn't mentioned.

Really?

I'd suspect that Dagon's forces wouldn't initially invade the swamp.

Well, I don't actually think there is any information of what's happening in Black Marsh, aside from the Argonians being called back.

That's also the official explanation as to why the Argonians were called back prior/during the Oblivion crisis.

Is there a tower in Argonia?

I can see that as a reson to invade.. maybe not the entire province, but certainly enough to take the tower down.

I happen to think that the invasions of the other provinces were a diversionary tactic of Dagon's. This keeps imperial troops stationed in said provinces from being recalled for the defense of Cyrodil. Dagon was mainly after the white-gold tower due to its mythopoeic significance as a model of the aurbis. Totemic magick...
The destruction of the IC would most likely be echoed by the collapse of Nirn herself. In the Aldudagga, it's suggested that Dagon needs the destruction of Nirn in order to free himself from Akatosh's punishment. That's why Dagon was after the white-gold tower specifically. So, in short, I doubt Akavir was invaded, since there is no imperial presence there. ;)

Dagon only hates imerials(the empire)? I would thin, being as ugly as he is,he would invade akavir,to avoid futere "resistance".

ummmm... ok.

nevermind...

He doesn't necessarily hate imperials... he's the force of destruction personified. If he destroys the White-Gold tower of cyrodil, he'd have the destruction he needed. It, being the center tower, has power over all the other towers, and therefore all creation. The IC is built in the image of the Aurbis. So... it would be the same principle as a voodoo doll. Destroy the image in order to destroy what it represents. That's just a personal theory of mine.

I think perhaps it's a little too lore-heavy for this thread. Sorry.

Elven towers don't have to be the only type of axis mundi in Tamriel as the Hist can act the same to the Argonians. But, you probably don't have to bring them down if the barriers are weak enough to wash reality away to Oblivion's black sea.

And killing off all the Septim heirs was essential to his ass not being handed his return ticket to Oblivion.

I believe Mankar Camaron stated that in the mythic age, Tamriel was Dagons realm before it was stolen from him, and since Tamriel is just one continent i dont see any reason for him to invade Akavir or Atmora and any other Continents on Nirn

I believe Mankar actually said that it was Lorkhan's realm.

He's twisting words.
The only right Dagon has to Nirn is to destroy it. In fact, that's all he wants to do, so he can become the Leaper Demon King he was before the Mundus was created. ;)

It's referencing Dagon's close connection to Lorkhan.
