Not true. The "hero" usually comes from obscurity and goes back into obscurity pretty fast and uneventfully. The Nerevarine was a prime example of a potential politically massive figure who got squirreled away into the obscurities of gossip and idle pvssyr.

I can't wait for the Political Champion of TES V. Imagine... Completely fail at every quest unless you have Personality and Luck as primary attributes and Speechcraft as a major skill. xD

I can imagine the empire becoming a republic with the High Chancellor taking over the emperor's duties. So High Chancellor would be the equivalent of a USA style president.

Most likely it would be not a American System, and nothing Democratic, a lot like The old Roman Republic System, or maybe even like the Dutch Trade Republic System back in the sixteen century, nothing democratic about that republic, just a bunch of 'merchant princes and city holders' who ruled the country, eventually the idea ended by Napeleon Bonaparte, and he did give the birth of the Monarchy of the Netherlands.

On any rate, than I vote for a Breton Named Karl Marx ...
