HGEC problem

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 10:59 pm

I just started a new fem char and instaled HGEC after using Exnem. I've tripple and quadruple checked, and all the meshes and textures are there and in their proper place but in game the hands are missing. They show up if I put gloves on but thats not the point. Can someone pleas help mewith this very annoing issue?

missing as in you have WTF im a missing mesh signs or just not there? just not there means you have a missing normal map. if none of those are the problem have you tried a reinstallation?

Are you using BSA redirection? If not, you should - both OBMM and Wrye Bash come with it.

I've had Bash for a while and just got OBMM just yesterday. I'd never heard of BSA redirection before so, no. I mean I found some of those file types but what do I do with them to fix the missing map?

Run BSA redirection via either WB or OBMM. It's basically a necessity when using texture replacers. Not on the computer ATM but check the readmes for instructions.

I figured out what the problem was. I forgot to check the most simple thing, the wrist irons. It was the irons and the hands attached to them that were missing, not the hands themselves. I realy hope that TES V is more mod user freindly. maby Bethesda will do a beta test to get some of the buggs out so we wont need things like omod and wrye.

Thanks for your help everybody.

Ah yes, you need to download http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=24078 to replace the vanilla armor with HGEC variants or you'll get issues with many armors.
