The file is packed like so:

MSE_Fix > Data > Meshes > Characters > Moonshadow Elves > Head > MoonshadowHead.tri

I'm unfamiliar with a .tri file. Would I drop the .tri file only into the Oblivion Data folder? or drop the folder starting with Data?

I apologize for the newbie question, I have most of my mods installed correctly, but was unfamiliar with this particular installation (no read-me) and just wanted to make sure I was installing correctly.

the MoonshadowHead.tri file should be placed into the Oblivion\data\meshes\characters\Moonshadow Elves\Head\ folder !

The .tri file needs to go into ...Oblivion\Data\Meshes\Characters\Moonshadow Elves\Head\
So since I take it you're sticking to manual install, either just copy the file into there and overwrite any previous, or copy the data folder and paste it when inside the Oblivion folder, then it should keep the correct folder-structure. Just make sure the MSE_Fix folder doesn't get copied.
