Best Armor in the game?

And how/where can I get it? Right now I'm using the botherhood 51p armor (I think) also I'm new to fallout so any tips would be very appreciated.

That sort of all depends on what kind of character you have, honestly. If you are a melee character, than that armor will probably suit you pretty well, as it is pretty good. I tend to play stealthier, sniper-type builds, so I tend to grab some recon armor and stick with that for the most part. I miss the Chinese Stealth Suit :sadvaultboy:

honestly I'm more of a run n gunner the only reason I use the brotherhood armor is for the +1 strength so I can carry more sutff lol. I have the recon armor but it's in very bad condition so I haven't used it don't really want to pay a crap load of caps to fix it. Anyway to do it without having to pay alot or have another recon suit to repair it with?

Depends what you mean by best? Just raw DT/DR? Stats?

DT Wise -
Light: Vault 34 Security Armor 16 DT 15 WG (Found in Vault 34)
Medium: Gannon Family Tesla Armor 26 DT 45 WG Energy Weapons +10 Rad Resist +20 (Part of the Arcade Gannon's companion quest)
Heavy: Remnants Power Armor 28 DT 45 WG Str +1 Rad Resist +20 (Can be obtained throughout the same questline as the Gannon Family armor, or from the Deathclaw Promontory)

You can still acquire a Chinese Stealth Suit 12 DT 20 WG +5 Sneak - Though it seems that you can lose it if you get caught pickpocketing while wearing it. Also it doesn't have FO3's stealth boy invis effect while sneaking.

There's a perk, I haven't taken it yet, but it lets you repair stuff with similar properties. Maybe being able to repair a sniper rifle with a hunting rifle, or maybe recon armor with leather armor or something. I haven't tried it yet, I was going to take it on this playthrough. But other than that, you need to find other things, or pay to have it fixed I think. I believe there's a companion that can repair stuff, too. I think it's Raul the Ghoul. I never used him, so I don't know if he charges to do it or not.

Visit the Hoover Dam Offices if you miss the Chinese Stealth Suit... You'll find something to your liking.

It's not the same bro- it's weaker than Recon Armor and doesn't have the stealth field anymore. (I think now it has some sort of effect that increases stealth boy duration)
Granted, it was overpowered before, but I think this was the lazy way out. The CSA is supposed to have a stealth field. It was never designed to extend stealth boy duration- it was designed to be a permanent stealth field on demand. The stealth boy is a crappy, unstable version of the Armor's stealth systems, hence why stealth boys have limited duration.

They should have made it very difficult to get, and handled its stealth field like the Archimedes weapon- crouching activates a stealth field that will last say, 3 times as long as a stealth boy. After that, the suit takes a day to recharge. Simple, isn't it?
