Hey man, I feel ya, I really want there to be poleaxes, and sometimes people on here make me mad, but you gotta chill. Too much wrong going on in the real world to invest emotional energy into a game or forum trolls. Y'know?

Seriously, how many people actually used spears in Morrowind as their main weapons? I certainly didn't, they were really impractical imho.

Well the topic has become a bit of an icon for those who feel the games are becoming too simplified. I'm not in that crowd, personally. I would love more weapon options, but in a game like Skyrim where every weapon type would have to have a balanced section of a skill tree, I can forgive some being left out as long as there is a good variety. I think the 1h and 2h sword/axe/maul is a good variety, personally, as far as melee weapons. I do wish for more projectiles, however. Just having a bow isn't enough variety for me.

All in all, however, it's not something that I think matters as much as it seems to considering the amount it comes up in these forums. As I said; I'd love spears, but I can sleep at night without them.
