Then I came across Oblivion. It had/has everything I wanted in a game: great creatures/monsters, good storylines and plenty of character development.
I think I would have been more excited about Red Dead Redemption if Oblivion hadn't of come out. While the two themes are different (western vs medieval/fantasy), they both share similarities: both set in mainly rural environments, both contain plenty of horses, brown bears and (I think) boars, and both seem to be graphically on-par with one another (Oblivion, played on a high end PC, is breathtaking, even by todays standards).
I'm wondering if Red Dead Redemption is as large as Oblivion, anyone know?
I also wonder if they've put invisible walls in, though whilst Oblivion DOES have invisible walls, these can be taken out through the ini file.
I also wonder if anyone here has been thinking about the points I have mentioned in this thread, and I would love to hear some feedback from you guys.
Thanks for reading!
