Where is it confirmed that spears are not in the game? : V

Exactly as the title is. I was wondering if anyone could reference where it is at. The only thing I could find is that todd says something along the lines of not in the sense you are talking about. or some crap like that.

That doesn't mean that spears are not in the game. It just means that they're not in the game in the traditional sense of a spear. We might just end up swinging them like a halberd or naginata instead of stabbing with them, for all we know.

So we would have halberds. Not spears. But honestly if there are halberds and naginatas of sorts someone will make a spear mod. Heck they may even replace the animations for it who knows?

It seems they are confirmed out, but Todd should have been clearer; his wording implied some possibility. Along with the concept art showing a halberd and an apparently unprofessional article by a magazine, which mentioned two handed polearms. GStaff article should have instead read "two handed weapons".

People. For God's sake. A Spear is not a Halberd. THEY ARE TWO DIFFERENT WEAPONS.
If there are Halberds, guess what? There are still no Spears, because they are not the same thing.
So Todd's statement stands true. No Spears. Maybe Halberds.
