Disguises and faction territory, more aware AI.

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 3:06 pm

My friend said that in Fallout New Vegas he was able to disguise himself in order to infiltrate enemy faction bases.

Will this be present in Skyirm?

I remember how in Morrowind, no one really cared that I was a House Hlaalu high level thief walking right into the Telvanni Vaults.

Will NPC's be more aware of your presence, and more specifically about where you should/shouldn't be?

Will disguises, stealth, persuasion (speech and bribery), therefore be more important?

If you follow an NPC around for awhile will they turn around and ask you what you are doing?

Will NPC thieves attempt to pick pocket you? Will they (try to) break into your house/stronghold while you are away to steal things?

Will NPC's have memories of your, their, and others actions? (For example, questioning a witness to the crime, or killing witnesses to your crime before they can talk to the guard.) Will guards look for you based on your description from their memories, meaning that disguises during or after the crime would help avoid detection?

Etc.

oh and i would spent months, maybe years BUT I WOULD HUNT THE BASTARD DOWN AND THROW HIS BODY INTO THE LAKE!
hehe just kidding...hahha imagin this situation: you come back to your house after killing a lot of thiefs in the woods, and, when you enter your house, its all gone!haha.. :banghead:
maybe you could buy locks for the doors ,just to make the thiefs job harder

We don't know.
I hope those features are in.
(That's the kind of answer you'll get from most posters on this topic)

They had a lock spell in Morrowind, I'd always lock my vault in my stronghold (Telvanni) and summon Daedra and the dwarven ball robot thing, but was disappointed that no thief ever tried (and died) to open my vault (which had piles of money and all of the best stuff in it).

What if store owners followed around the khajit and bosmer (racism).

I'm not sure I would enjoy such feature.

I wouldn't want it either. They just get next to you and you lose gold. NPCs trying to break into your house is fine. I would want traps to make for my house.

You could do this in Shivering Isles, there were these heretics or something and if you put on there robes and stay at a distance you could infiltrate them.

Yes please! The system in New Vegas was great and could work very well in Skyrim, especially if you have to collect a bunch of armor pieces to stay in disguise haha.

A disguise feature would be fun, it could possibly be linked to persuasion / speechcraft / whatever. It was a bit too easy in NV though... needs more of a chance of failiure.
