Streamline Help

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 8:42 am

After upgrading my computer, I've had to reinstall all of my mods, including Streamline. This hasn't been a big deal until about 2 hours ago when I started trying to get Streamline working. I'm using the latest patched version of it, and am following the readme closely, but it just doesn't work. Now, my first problem is that I've never used OBSE before. I'm fairly sure I installed it correctly (copying files into Oblivion directory...) but I'm not sure how to check if it's working properly. I'm also not very computer savvy, and have no idea on how to make my Oblivion shortcut open with OBSE instead of Oblivion.exe.

Anyway, after I make my way through to my Oblivion folder and start OBSE manually, and get in-game, Streamline initializes like it should. However, I can't edit the .ini. It says that the file path is incorrect.

So here are my Streamline troubles, and I would appreciate any help getting this sorted out.

If you want to change your Obliv desktop shortcut to run OBSE instead, then just right-click the short cut, goto Properties, in the Shortcut tab look at the Target text box, and change the last part from OblivionLauncher.exe or Oblivion.exe to obse_loader.exe

Thanks. I actually got that working just before you posted that, by creating an entirely new shortcut. Now I just gotta get Streamline working.

Do you have this folder scheme?
C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\Streamline\INI Files

With the sl.ini file in the 'INI Files' folder?

Yup, except my .ini file is just labeled 'sl'. I honestly have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I'm also using vista if that means anything.
