Is your strange mass canada?

Not intentionally (australian, so my geography is "this part of the world" biased)
Anyone else 50% relieved, 50% disappointed that Howard said dx11 is in, but it's not going to use any substantial features, which means no tessellation.
It's probably going to take a year or longer for capable modders to turn this "equal looking across at platforms" game into something that does technology progress justice since pcs made consoles seem outdated back somewhere around...(2007?)
Name one game that would benefit more than skyrim, and as anyone who has used the uengine benchmark/techdemo can attest, the feature can be scaled off/on like a lightswitch. So people with dx9 hardware would never be forced to use it, and people with weaker dx11 hardware could just scale it up a fraction. However, to me, it seems like the next big progression. And it's sitting right here in front of us.
So us pc users have to wait until console gamers have hardware that is capable. Which i means, I guess, that everyone should get dx11 hardware when the next console generation hits. Since bethesda certainly won't be giving the industry a boost of confidence by being like everyone else. Except, in fact, they are kind of being worse. Even dragon age 2 used tessellation, albiet poorly. And that thing was whipped together in far less than half the time skyrim was.
I don't know, I own a ps3 as well, i just feel bitter about pc users constantly being ignored, and "all platforms must be equal" is pretty much the worst reason I could imagine, even if i sat back and tried to imagine bad reasons a pr/guy/gal could give.
