power armor - quickest route

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 4:15 pm

what is the quickest way to get you into some power armor - power armor training? I'm looking for the most direct route once you hit new vegas. I'm able to hit new vegas wthin 10-15 minutes rob all the casinos and looking for a similar route with power armor. lets assume i'm lvl 8 and i'm hanging out in vegas - whats the shortest route to power armor training and a suit?

I don't have the map on me but try to make your way for a place called Hidden Valley. They'll hook you up.

1. Go to REPCONN HQ, loot bodies of Paladins on the top floor of the facility. You now have 2 sets of power armor (don't be an idiot, don't repair them with each other, grab jury rigging and fix them both with metal armors!). You also have password to Hidden Valley Brotherhood of Steel bunker but you don't really need it.
2. Recruit Veronica as a companion at 188 Trade Post north of Novac so you don't need to do the entry quest for BoS.
3. Go to the Hidden Valley from Good Springs, much faster route than from Novac where you have a bazillion of Scorpions to kill.
4. Do quests siding with either the Elder or the do-uche Paladin.
5. Wait 3 days, tell whoever won you want to join the brotherhood.

If you want the quickest way to get Power Armor Training this is what you do. 1st go to 188 trading post and recruit Veronica next go to hidden Valley and enter the western bunker. Veronica will let you in. Next talk to Elder McNamera and do his mission but also do Hardins mission too. If you have trouble with the boomers stick to the western part by the rocks. Finish the rest of Hardins part of the quest and have him take over as Elder. Next leave the bunker and wait a few days then save and go back in the bunker. Hardin will want you to go and take out the Van Graffs. Now if you haven't started the quest for the Van Graffs then start the quest. When a person in a merchants coat approaches you let him in and then afterwards kill Simon. After that return to Hardin and you will have Power Armor Training.

Just remember if you wear the Brotherhood T 45b or 51b Power Armor you will be considered wearing a brotherhood faction armor so don't go to any of the NCR's outpost wearing the Brotherhood power armor.

Easiest why to find the bunker is to head south from sloan. You will go through a broken fence, and then just follow the fence on yourr right. This will lead you right to the bunker door, so even if its the middle of a sandstorm, you will easily see it. It's impossible to miss.

I am stuck after siding with Hardin. I went outside and waited 3 to 4 days, and upon returning to speak with him I get told to come back later. I have tried this numerous times now and still the same reply. What am I missing???

It is possible to get just T-51 power armor that doesn't make you look like the BoS faction member.

yes, there is. once your at hidden valley, and insidethe fence line, there will be several bunkers, one of wich is not collapsed.

once inside there will be a locked door, approach the door and two BoS paladins will come out in t-51b youll get all your weapons taken and put into a slave collar. from there, youll know what to do.

Remnant Quest would actually be faster if you rush Platinum chip.

There are 3 Hidden Valley Bunkers, one of them has the BoS but these guys reminded me that you need Veronica to enter it.
