I think I may be stuck. I'm trying to find Benny at the fort but can't find him. I've cleared all hostiles from the fort itself, and the Legion camp, except for Caesar's tent (I've used up just about all my meds, and most of my ammo). If I enter Caeser's tent, I live for like 2 seconds tops, even if I disguise myself in Legion armor. What am I supposed to do at this point?

Same boat I'm in. I don't know if it is possible to continue along that alignment branch if you can't kill Caesar.

BTW, damn you to hell for getting "Benny and the Jets" in my head.

Benny is in Caesar tent after the bunker quest :shrug:

leave the fort, go to novac, get boone to join your party. go backto the strip go to gun runners, get some good guns, go to doc mitchelle and get meds.go back, go in ceasars tent and take them all out.

benny will be to the righ tied up. kill him, take the chip from ceasar steal bennys suit and his 9mm pistol called maria, also take ceasars displacer glove.

i suggest you actually load a previous save. or start from scratch. if you work for ceasar you get about 4 achievements just helping ceasar.

yeah, you need to go repair and re arm or something. Benny is in the tent to the right of Caeser about 15 feet from caesar himself. Go buy yourself some chems/stims/ammo repair your weapons and come back and blast em. Here is a tip: before you go into casear's tent, set up a trap. Drop mines in front of the tent and down the path. Zone into the tent, get into VATS immediately. Drop a few shots onto Caesar (I decapitated him with 2 shots from the Gobi Sniper Rifle) and zone out of the tent. His troops will follow you out of the tent, right into your trap. Hopefully the mines/c4 will cripple/kill a few so you can back off and cut em down. Benny will be waiting for you inside the tent after you kill everyone. Good Luck!

not, hes in there all along. right after you run him off from the tops.

Thanks. I guess I can give laying a trap a shot. I had to reload several times just to survive entering the camp itself. Sniping isn't that useful a skill when you're coming in through the front door .

I wan to know this too! The dialogue options all seem to indicate that giving him the Bobby Pin and Stealth Boy should allow him to escape on his own, but it aggros EVERYONE IN THE TENT. Has to be a bug.

For this bit I used the stealth boy and a silenced weapon to go into the ten, take out the dog and guard without alerting the rest then a single sniper shot to kill caesar, then run!!

Left boone satined out side tent and let him take quite a few out while I sniped them from a distance.

Worked quite well, I found that if I just went into the tent I got slaughtered

I was actually going to start a topic about how easy this was for me....

Bit of background, I'm alligned to the NCR and Vilified/hated by the legion.

and so.....

I equipped the Veteran Ranger Combat armour, checked the Fort/Cottonwood on my map & it appeared as Neutral?? Wandered over there, equipped my Vexillarius (or whateva) armour and no-one was hostile. Walked into Cottonwood having failed the Legion Quests and some random guy walks up and say's "you're not welcome here" or something like that. I checked the Mark of Ceaser speech bit and off I went... Down to the barge, straight to the fort, up the hill... all this time no-one even looked twice at me??!!

Spoke to all the randoms on the way.... nothing.

Entered Ceaser's tent, strolled past all the gaurds & dogs, walked up to Benny, shot him in the head (at which point one of the gaurds said "good kill" or something). Tried to talk to Ceaser but got no response, guess that's cause I had already failed his quests, strolled into the corner. Squatted down and shot him in the head with my Surpressed sniper rifle... still no reaction. Looted him. Took the chip & walked out.... Calm as anything. Still no-one went for me...

Anyone explain this?

Before I put the Ranger combat armour on I was Vilified by the legion, then it went neutral when I was wearing it. Then fine with the legion armour but as soon as I put on anything else, all hell broke loose. I was actually really disappointed at how easy it was.

Thoughts?
