deleting oblivion.ini

Post » Thu Sep 02, 2010 2:30 am

I got a problem with oblivion crashing when I want to start it now. it ran perfecly yesterday and just does not want to right now.

so I guess the ini got messed up when I quit, as ut made a crash report.

now I know oblivion will just generate a new ini. but I think there are a few extra parameters got the .BSA files some mods needed. will it put it back in there so it all works again?

Best regards,
Ernst

It will only make a standard ini file. Any changes done by mods or you will have to be done again. The only ones I know off the top of my head is Frans installer that puts its BSA files into the search string. If using FCOM then I do not think you would do it that way. The other is DarkUI OMOD installers. It changes the fonts settings and the local map shader. Also, any ini tweaks you did in Wry bash will need to be reapplied.
