Better looking heads?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 10:36 pm

After playing Fallout 3 for so long, and getting used to good looking faces, I find the heads available, and the limited selection of supposedly 'random' variations to be...well..hideous and unrealistic.

Has anyone done any MAJOR replumbing on the skulls and faces of the various races? I want HANDSOME males and PRETTY females, not these...mutated...freaks.

Any serious overhaul mods you could point me to would be great.

Even on vanilla oblivion I dont have too much trouble making the faces look allright, they usually wind up looking wayy friendlier than I meant for the character because the "angry" expressions are ugly.

My last breton wound up looking just like Jimmy Buffett not on purpose but I find it very funny, he honestly looks just like this

None of my characters have looked... freakish. Just take the time to tweak the face. By time, I mean more than 10 minutes. My former barbarian was petite, pale, pretty, blue eyes, black hair, she took about 45 minutes to fine tune..

I belive Oblivion Face Exchange Lite is free, could be an alternative,of course that requires some effort :P
or use random until you get something ok and adjust the sliders after

Oblivion Face Exchange is for copying/transplanting faces from other save files to your saved game. If you're on PC, you can use other's save file to copy the faces(Most of save file sharing is for face-sharing), or you can use http://www.facegen.com to make your own desired face(you'll need to use some tools to paste FaceGen-created face to saved game, though).

Second, I thought I had posted this in the Mods section. My apologies, I was in a hurry and tired at the time.

Third, I use face exchange lite in Fallout 3 for some of my modding projects (yes, I'm a modder). I'll grab some savegame files and see what I can do.

The reason I'm kind of bent out of shape and frustrated over the difficulty getting a decent face with the stock assets is that I'm trying to work on a mod, and without exception, all the faces I've been able to come up with using the sliders are either bug eyed, or end up with a cro-magnon forehead, or their nose looks like a chunk of silly putty...it's frustrating when you need 10 to 15 NPC's.

So anyway, I'll move this over to the mod topic where it should be. Moderator, feel free to close this.
