How Much Area Do You Think Will Be Covered

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 8:36 pm

I really enjoyed exploring the actual capital part of Fallout 3. I would have loved being able to go into more random buildings in the capitol. Just get rid of all the darn sewers. It was creative that it was in the game, but I just didn't like how much time I felt like I spent down there. I gladly would have traded sewers with larger/more open capitol.

I agree.

I'd much rather spend more exploration time outside & absorbing the landscape.

Vegas itself is a given, so is the Hoover Dam since like someone said before; SOMETHING has to be powering those lights.

A few Bases probably, because the Air Force does alot in Nevada.

But what about the bases from 1 and 2?
The way i see it, if theyre going back to a location from previous fallout games, they HAVE to include alot of the locations from those games right? And probably alot of back-story from those games... because the Lone Wanderer DID do alot for that area.

Speaking of which, what's the latest word on climate effects? I haven't been on these forums in a very long time.

The only problem is that I highly doubt that anything is out in the desert. Let's be honest, if you've ever been to Vegas than you know that alot doesn't live out there for a reason. They could add vehicles due to that factor.

That would be cool for a larger area. Could allow better settlements with actually more than 7 people to exist.

Oh yeah. What type of vehicles do you think there could be? Small makeshift things or full on jeeps like in Tactics?

Probably both. If there are vehicles, I wouldnt expect tanks but probably humvees or something.

I'd guess (hopefully) it'd be about the same as FO3. I still haven't been to every location and everytime I discover a new location it's like opening a present.

i hope they make the city a bit more free roam able, As you got a few bits of street you can get in DC.

I agree. It is annoying how most of DC is blocked off.

Agreed.

Though, I'm not a fan of putting a car(s) in the game. But if it was put in, I'd prefer it as something you have to earn and not somethig that is given. And more over, something that is not a commodity. Maybe just one car in the game which is gone if you loose/wreck it.

Maybe cars could act like a fast travel? You get the car early on, and its only purpose is to fast travel?

That way I'd be fine and it'd make fasttraveling more plausible than simple copy/paste from A to B and readjust the clock.

More over, I'd like to see the map and travelling handled like in arcanum. That way a car would fit as a mean of fast travel, you could walk from one edge of the map to another if you wished, and you could use a worldmaptravel with encounters. There was, IIRC, also train- and shiproutes between settlements.

Take the fallout 3 and make 3-4 times bigger, but with somewhat similiar amount of content/encounters just scattered in wider range. More wastelandy feel.

I do not think F4 will be bigger than F3...though the traveling to another location could be improved because the current one is not realistic at all.

OFF TOPIC
i want a to see a better Pip-Boy if there will be one....

I think this is not fallotut 4, more like spinnof right? If this is true i think this game will be smaller than fallout 3 world(i hope i am wrong). However, i would like bigger 2x than Fallout 3 world.
