Will Fallout New Vegas be very gory? : Fallout: New Vegas

The original 2 games had the ability to disable gore and bad language. Fo3 had a config file setting to disable the gore, really hard to find. But nothing for the language. NV has quite some skimpy cloths on the strip and the club.

Unfortunately my computer is in the living room and I dont want the kids seeing that stuff. Guess I will be once again only playing after thy are in bed. :sadvaultboy:

Its suppose to be the same as it was in Fallout 3 which in my opinion wasn't very gory besides the head getting shot off.

http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1552 I used this because I liked the gore, however I didn't like the frequency, it made it get bland, but when you pull off that clutch shot and their head explodes, it made it so much better, because you didn't see it all the damn time.

Edit: I used the "lite" version of it.

Or will there be an option to tone it down a little? In fallout 3 a guy is cutting his leg off..

I think LKT wants to know who is cutting off his leg. Tomrock101 wording sounds like someone in FO3 cuts off their own leg.

I expect the same gore, but I hope they have death animations to ragdoll for Fallout 4 instead of limb chopping and body 'splosions.
Would be nice with some new things though, like splitting someone in half.

Same here - I thought it was a perk that was more annoying than cool. I don't have anything against gore, but it got really tedious hunting around for a body part to click on in order to loot it. ESPECIALLY if several bad guys died right next to each other, then I had to keep mousing over each individual body part to make sure I looted each individual bad guy I exploded.

i hated that too!! got to the point were i wish i didn't take bloody mess, its cool for the first 40 kills after that its kinda cheesy, dunno if ill be picking it up in NV.

Fallout 3's gore was over the top. It was hilarious. I'd find my self laughing sometimes when people's heads would explode like a watermelon.

i love the dismemberment and head bursting but i also want to be able to see the piles of bodies in an area instead of a bunch of meaty chunks.

It was already over-the-top without bloody mess which is why I never got it.

I just find it annoying that almost every head shot I get results in the head exploding or shooting a guy in the leg makes it fall off.
Yes, I play without bloody mess.

It is not like this anymore. They made it so that only Criticals take of limbs... if you have perks that increase criticals then yes this will happen alot more. Then if your one of those butcher men you can take your butchers knife and cut the limbs up and lay it on a table.

I rather have them increase the sixuality of the game, instead of more gore.
Put in nudity where it should, and some forced six (why is the single word of this meaning censored? :/ ) wouldn't be bad either.
A minigame during six encounters would be nice as well.

But I guess it's pretty much taboo for american developers...
Oh well, guess The Witcher 2 will just have to do for now. I hope more RPG developers will follow up after them.

Heavy rain did this nice, and Farenheid before them as well. But they weren't RPGs.
